What kind of Half-Life/Valve game references have you spotted in your everyday travels.

Yesterday I went to 'The Freeman Hospital' and the sign on the way in said 'You are now entering the Freeman' I was like

A while back I also saw Freeman Drive which was kind of funny to just drive past.
Post your Half-Life/Valve game references here. :D

Post now.

I saw a black dude with a red valve sticking out of his head.

There's a huge lambda painted in yellow on a wall on my way to school.

/edit TO THE SCHOOL I USED TO GO TO BEFORE I GRADUATED, I mean.

There's a city called Ravenhout nearby, but every time I see the sign, it reminds me of Ravenholm.

when i look up theres a sky and when am in game and look up theres a sky too! :O

Saw a sign that said, "Dr Gay Freeman". I lol'd.

A reference is something intentional. What you mean is things that remind you of HL, and nothing springs to mind.

my physics teacher mentioned half life the other day...

The Cursive lower-case C
Depending on how you do it it looks like a Lambda

You mean things that remind you of the game? These are not references....

For actual references: I saw a grafitii companion cube on a highway once.

For things that remind me: The Cathedral of Learning looks a hell of alot like the Citadel when it's really foggy.

It looks sort of like this, except the top is not visible on a foggy day, making it look much taller.

In a school I used to go to, there was a teacher named Mr. Freeman.

No, he taught english.

Gordon's a mute though, so the students mustve learned shit.

I know Half-life is to do with the decay of Nuclear Material..

But, in my Physics lesson me and my friend found some test papers with 'Half-Life Questions' at the top, I almost expected it to ask about the combine or something...:D

My principal's name is G. Freeman. The G sttands for Gregory.

Kid in my chemistry class named gordon and he wears glasses. I had to partner up and he went off to get the materials and I said "Gordon you're needed in the test chamber!". He didnt get it.

One time I was walking down the street and I saw a skinny, bearded Black man with an eyepatch over his right eye. Once I was indoors I could not stop laughing.

(Not directly a HL reference, but eh...what do you want me to say, I see red valves everywhere?)

(Because I do)

I did also say 'Valve game' references, so that was ok.
Sounds pretty funny. Speaking of can't stop laughing, I saw one of those Council Grass cutters trimming a hill near where i walk to school, me and my brother were so hoping it would tip over, only to see it skid a few seconds later and bang into a lamp post and got stuck.

Whenever I hear the word "Advisor" I automatically think floating space slugs. There's a lot of little sayings throughout HL and HL2 that are spoken in real life occasionally that will remind me as well.

lol. sounds like something out of a really bad RPG

I lol'd.

There's a medical center about twenty miles from my home whose logo is an oval that is half orange, half blue.

Additionally, there's a room in one of the buildings on campus which makes me feel like a scientist in black mesa.

Anytime anyone has a crowbar in scene shop we start talking to them G-Man style because we're all nerds.

yep. There are several.

I pass a garage on my walk to uni everyday where there's one of those compressed air thingies for your tyres and a big board above it which has the letters VAC.

We were doing 'Half-Life' as in the Scientific term about Radioactive decay.

At the beginning of my lesson the teacher (Who is quite funny, specially for a teacher) said...

'Half-Life....is a computer game........a pretty good computer game...but it is also blah etc.'

Me and my friend lol'd :D

Sorry for double post but the other one wouldnt edit.

Anyway, today I ran round the PE hall hitting people over the head with a baseball bat and yelling BOINK, it was very lolz.

If you hit a fat kid, I REALLY hope you said "Beat it, fatty!"
