Half-Life: The Downfall of the Evolution

Okay, we have seen a lot of great Half-Life fan films. But this one is special for me. Because it directly comes from my country. A group of young people started working of this a year ago and still they have a lot of work to do. It was once called Half-Life Lambda Protocol. Some of team members left and new members involved. Now it has been renamed. They've released a teaser for the film.

It looks great. Hopefully it ends up being worth watching.

As for the website, I particularly like the comparison images used to show locations before and after the Combine invasion.

I just really wish they would get someone who speaks/writes English as a first language to help fix the numerous examples of broken English. It's a good try, but it needs a few passes to be readable.

I love the shot around 17 seconds.

this concept, You know it would be kind of cool for a game, almost like a prequel to half life 2 and instead of Freemen, you play as Adrian Shephard, who Gman uses you, as Shephard, to shape the events of the 7 hour war to make the events of half life 2 to come into play.

I just really wish they would get someone who speaks/writes English as a first language to help fix the numerous examples of broken English. It's a good try, but it needs a few passes to be readable.

I think The subtitle, like the other guys were mentioning is an example of that broken english previously mentioned. ......They Probably meant "The Fall of Evolution"
I sincerely hope, for the quality of this video, there's no script with intentions of english dialogue being spoken. But like Nick said, Fix the english and it will be amazing.

I'm down. The Half Life universe is incredibly fertile for storytelling, even if it isn't Gordon's story. The trailer looks nice: looking forward to a completed movie.

Apperantly, title was a placeholder. All teaser titles are now "Half-Life: Downfall of the Evolution". Now, it looks decent.

Yeah, Man if you're directly contacted with them, Tell them it looks amazing. Amazing enough, (IMO) for Valve themselves to directly support their efforts.

Guys, just to clarify, i'm not a team member. I made contact with Tiberhan to talk about the fate of old project and he gave me all information i provided in OP. Of course, i'd happily tell him about your thoughts and feedback.

A network of Citadels was discussed in Episode One, so yes. The Combine also have Citadels in their homeworld, as shown during the end of Half-Life 2.

The filming locations look nice, but it'd be silly to feature Combine Soldiers in the same uniform as the earlier concept art. Sure, the art exists, but those designs never actually appeared in the universe themselves. It's also pretty important to keep Metro Cops and every other post-human Combine unit out of the Seven Hour War segments, as none of them would have been developed at that point, similarly to the Hunter Chopper.

Ok then, but 7 hour war and even the years after are one helluva gap in the half-life history that will lead to many speculations, we don't know what the military units of the Combine during the invasion look like, almost everything that we saw in Half-Life 2 is the result of the Combine's adaptation on Earth for decades. I'm not sure these guys know what they're doing, really, unless they got a good scenario that avoids the actual battles and showing post era, maybe with some flashbacks about establishing the Combine's rule during 7 hour war.
