Half-Life Trivia

They spelt Freeman as "Freemen"

Q: What is the name for work teams in the "development methodology" (for lack of a better word) that Valve use when developing their games?

A: Cabal

Q: What are the names of the 2 books (both written by Marc Laidlaw) in Gordon's locker at the start of the game?

Q:How do you Kill the garg at the end of surface tension? (hint: without using ammo)

You blow up the bridge with the conveniently placed dynamite?

I'm assuming that's correct, so...a slightly tricky one this.

Q: Pre release versions of Half-Life were noticeably different to the finished product, but one of the most important aspects of the game was changed just before it's release. What was it?

Cabals.

37th Mandala and the Orchid Eater.

Lure him outside and then direct artillery fire at him.

I pwn.

Question: How can a secret room be found in the game when you encounter Barney and he says "what the hell are you doing here, get topside" ?

Just before release? Er.. Gordon's appearance? That's all I can think of.

A: There's a grate behind the door, which leads to a fairly lenghty trek across ceiling crawlspaces and finally a drop into the secret room.

He could be referring to the last-minute bug squash that allowed multiplayer to work correctly.
Anyway, his previous answer was incorrect, so his question is invalid.

Q: What subject matter was Dr. Newell scheduled to research at Black Mesa?

[edit]
Edited question for precision.
[/edit]

A: The effects homosexuality has on our society today.
Q: Are you guys really this bored?

Erm, sorry guys I forgot to check back on your answers ... and heh ... seems you all got it wrong. The garg on the bridge with the TNT is from Opforce. I'm very certain of my answer, and it doesn't involve luring it outside, nor artillery. If you want to give up that's fine by me, you can just pretend I didn't post it or something and move along.

ROFL @ Me, I thought Element's post was the only post in the thread! And It had nothing to do with the title. I'm such an idiot.

Err... Element, Cybernoid was right, you kill it with an air strike. The one in Surface Tension anyway.

Maybe you're thinking of the Garg in Xen?

In which level can you make the ichoythosaur fly? (hard to spell)

Yes, Cybernoid was right (lure the Garg to the gate and call in an airstrike on that position before he breaks through) and my answer to his question was right as well.

Now answer my question.

It's not a valid question because you didn't answer Cybernoid's question before.

Doesn't matter much anyhow, nice idea but this obviously doesn't work the way it was intended.

Yeah. Just let the thread die or get closed. Its doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand the rules, but I guess on this forum it does.:p
