HalfLife2 On XBOX...

I realise that Halflife 2 isnt out yet but i was wondering if there was a rough date that Halflife 2 will be released on Xbox? I got a PC as well but im getting sick of upgrading it every six months to keep up with the latest games... :S

So i bought an Xbox.

Valve said it wouldn't be out until the end of next summer, I assume work won't start on the port until the p.c version is released and with the stolen code business who knows when that will be.

out of all 3 consoles xbox is probably the best, better graphics, controller, more AAA games than most and very reliable onlline service

although it is a bit of an old bastard compared to modern PCs

Lol well i have an xbox because im sick of upgrading my comp but im pretty sure my computer will be able to run halflife2, just probably not with the best graphics.

I have a:

P4 2.2ghz
512mb ddr ram
asus p4s533-x mainboard
Geforce4 Ti 4200

I dunno, Xbox has been pretty good to me with Halo, Splintercell and so forth but im curious just how they are going to port the xbox version, i mean, the xbox runs a P3 733mhz under the hood and it's going to take well over a 1.7ghz P4 to run the PC game.

As for wasting $300, well, it could have been worse, i could have bought a Playstation2!

Well then tell me how a PS2 or a GameCube compare? Xbox owns and so does Xbox Live.

xbox does indeed rule the console world imo...

As for the guy who said about the xbox only having a 733Mhz proccesor.
Well, thats dedicated, and not running win xp in the background, and has a shit load of other enhancements. If you wanna compare an xbox to a PC just look at Halo. Runs perfectly well on the xbox, but what PC do you need to run it? A pretty damn fast one, thats for sure. No 733Mhz PC would run halo for all the money in the world (at decent fps, before anyone proves me wrong and demands all the money in the world...eeek)

From what I've seen a lot of people have spent a lot more on a new computer or parts for their computer just for HL2 :/ . That doesn't seem very different to me.

xbox isn't just any game system, you can do so much with it.. If I'm not playing games on it I'm watching movies through it.. excellent system imho. Not to be compared with more simple systems like PS2 and Game Cube.

I own both xbox and Game Cube today, I have previously owned a PS2.. Xbox is the only system that is really worth what i costs imho. Although GC is damn fun.. Nintendo fan 4 ever :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

But playing HL2 on xbox? With gamepad? That would totally suck! Not to mention all of the mods that one would be missing out on. Buying a xbox for HL2, now that's stupid :cheese:

erm...you can play movies on a ps2 also...and you dont need to buy a stupid remote......
