Halo 2 Demo - August 24th

Wohoo! If that SP demo thing is true...I'll be happy as hell come August 24th. It had better just be in some magazines and such...It better not be on XBL.
 
wait...i just realized...theres not halo 2 pc...now I don't care about halo 2 anymore. (no xbox for me)
 
Boo, I want PC demo now! I hate the Xbox :) Sorry to all you xbox fans but i just had to say that
 
But Halo is far better on the XBox - it's hardly worth waiting for Halo 2 to arrive on the pc.

ah, its so sad, I remember when halo was "the next big game" for the PC, before microsoft bought it out and killed the dream!

Thank god for developers like Rockstar who take time to make good ports.

considering that you can buy one for the price of a mid-range videocard, everyone on this board should have one. hell, it's worth it for halo 2 alone.
 
Id rather use that would buy an x-box, to upgrade my PC some more.
 
Im not into the Xbox, or any consoles... not because they have bad games/graphics or whatever but im just incredibly crap at the controls when i do get on one... Pc's are much easier :)
 
I love my Pc, plus im waiting for the next handhelds like the psp and the DS

Q: What systems will Halo 2 be available for?
A: Halo 2 is being made for the Xbox only at this time.

Xbox only at this time. That leads me to believe that Bungie is at least thinking of porting this wonderful piece of software to PC.
 
Well, hopefully any port won't take 3 billion years like the last one did.

IMO, the PC version of Halo is much better. Maybe because I have a kickass computer :D

back to topic, Halo2 is going to own everybodies pants. im just going to say it now, it's a better game then Doom3 [ even though doom 3 is going to be the owns as well. ]

and Halo & Halo2 are the best reasons for shelling out on the xbox instead of a new video card.

i mean honestly people.... a video card? instead of orgasmic bliss?

lets get our priorities strait here.

There won't be a Halo 2 demo, Bungies have said this before, 24th of august is when the media blitz starts, the only way there will be a demo is if it's a rolling one.

One of the OXM guys even said on the ign forums that if theres a demo it won't be out until the game is released.

I'll be VERY glad to be wrong but I think everyone is setting themselves up to get owned.

Well, Carmack said that when he was researching on new techonlogies that the engine he wrote was similar to the Xbox. Looks like we're going to have "High Quality" graphics on the Xbox.
 
That sucks, the xbox will be able to play on high quality but my pc wont? What the hell, thats why i hate xbox

Well, it did take a long time for a port. An Xbox port of Doom 3 will out in far less time, the port of Vice City didn't take that long. I mean, it took 2 years. Bungie have managed to create a sequel in just a year longer.

Are there any theories about Microsoft delaying a port because Halo was the only incentive to buy an X-Box? Just out of interest.
