what a sham,20 dollars, god bless free online gamingMr Stabby said:its 9 maps for those without xbl, and will be $19.99l
They are already going to add more BR spawns, what more do you want?AmishSlayer said:Unless they're re-balancing the entire MP game and adding more SP...count me out.
satch919 said:Maybe the expansion pack will actually be fun huh? :| I wasn't really impressed with Halo 2 as a whole. It had its fun moments but it was nothing like they had hyped it up to be.

Not to drift too far off topic, but anyone else notice that Halo 2 ended (spoiler spoiler spoiler) on a ship? So... that effectively means that it's safe to assume that Halo 3 (or 2.5, whatever) will begin... just like the others... on a ship.

I agree completly, and the BR should help with that a lot.AmishSlayer said:A game based on skill rather than weapon control. BR spawns will help a bit though.
The Battle Rifle, kind of like the pistol from Halo.ray_MAN said:What's BR? I've never played Halo 2, for I don't own an X-Box.
Assuming you mean HL2, I'd have to respond with this:destrukt said:i'd say! to hell with valve!
I could care less about the SP. But yes, the MP needs to be seriously rebalanced. I really miss the plasma weapons' freezing effect, which made the plasma rifle unique, rather than a more-powerful-but-slower-firing SMG.AmishSlayer said:Unless they're re-balancing the entire MP game and adding more SP...count me out.

I wish they didn't noob-ify the game so much. They made sniping much easier to do - no leading anymore. The rocket launcher is better than ever...no more skill required in leading moving vehicles. Don't even get me started on the sword. The shotgun has been nerfed...it can hardly kill sometimes...I ruled with the shotgun back in Halo 1.
Every time I complain about Halo 2's balancing everybody thinks I just suck at the game. I don't Check my XBL record if you like. I do quite well - It's just not fun.
Other things that I hate:
RADAR in ladder matches - I despise radar and rarely look at it. It completely kills the stealth aspect in the game. I never played with it on when I played Halo 1 online and it was just fine.
Timed 1v1's - People get a few kills with the rocket launcher and hide for the rest of the game.
Take Ascension for example. This guy rushes the rocket launcher and blasts me with it as he's flying from the jump pad. I spawn -BOOM- I don't even get to move. I spawn, start running for the sniper rifle nearby -BOOM- Then I spawn and he's gone...I get a sniper rifle and shotgun (medium range I can snipe people unzoomed if I need to) and go looking for him. I look down at the rocket launcher area...nothing. I keep looking all over the place. Finally, there's like 30 seconds left when I finally see him standing down by the rocket launcher right next to the teleporter - he's at an angle where you have to be by one of the sniper towers to even see him when you look down there. He sees me and as I fire he moves through the teleporter as miss him. So the rest of the match is me trying to chase this little bitch down. I got 1 kill on him it's 3-1 and he's gloating how he is the best and how I suck... Every time I went to check the rocket launcher area he saw me on the motion tracker and took one step into the teleporter and repositioned. What a lame guy :flame:
You suck at the game...lol. What he means is using the map as an advantage, if the enemy doesn't know where you are you can make them make a mistake they don't want to.Direwolf said:Stealth aspect of the game? I'm a little surprised to hear that when referring to Halo.
Actually, when playing multiplayer my biggest pet peeve is that only half the time can you actually see who shot you, the other half he/she's just a dot or a smudge. (Is more TV's resolution's fault than Halo's)
Foxtrot said:but at a distance is gets impossible (like on coagulation).
I mean across the map on coag, a guy in my clan can get headshots on people in vehicles consistently, but he still can't hit people across the map.Bad^Hat said:Tell that to my friend Simon. Had a 3 player and made a point to give myself the big screen, and he still nails me across the map within 2 shots. And seriously, he's played it for about 10 hours total. You should see him on CS, was owning up with the scout within the first few hours of playing. What a legend.
The graphics sucked, the head wasn't all that good, and the drugs gave me side-effects like dizziness. And wtf was up with that flashlight? I give it a 1/10. :|Bad^Hat said:I swear, people nowadays expect games to convert your console into an oven and bake you pie, then grow a pair of lips and fellate you while many tiny needles inject you with various drugs as you munch down on that sweet pie and thumb-twaddle your way through 150 levels of entirely non-linear open-ended squad-based online co-op FPS/RTS/RPG action/adventure mayhem. But I swear, even then, after the drugs began to wear off, and your belly grew large with pastry and mince, and your phallus grew limp and turned an odd shade of purple, just as you wore into your 200th consecutive hour of gameplay, you'd still come here and complain about how the devs hyped it unnecesarily and fell short on their promise of blueberry pie.

Well, the problem isn't that Halo 2 didn't end. It's that it didn't conclude. It's like watching a really cool action film, and just as the movie builds up to the final conflict, the credits roll. Can you imagine how frustrating that would be if you were watching, say, War of the Worlds, or Star Wars?AzzMan said:Eh, I fail to see how Halo2's ending was any worse than HL2's ending....
HL2's ending was way more sudden. But i just thought it was pulled off so damn well. Halo 2's just felt like any game's ending.AzzMan said:Eh, I fail to see how Halo2's ending was any worse than HL2's ending....
