i'd rather have gay porn than play that piece of shit on a piece of shit controller.
 
Too bad for the guys that wanna avoid spoilers. But this won't hurt Bungie a bit, luckily. They'll still all buy it for Live, and no one is gonna cancel the preorder unless it turns out the game sucks, and that probably isn't going to happen.

XbConnect isn't slow if you have a good connection and your opponent does too - It's lagless. I've used it a ton for Halo 1 and it has worked quite nicely. Mic support - Bleh...I've been playing Halo 1 on it for so long I'm used to it.
 
Well, my friend has it and I'm so tempted to go to his house and play it...I'll write my non-spoiler impressions, if I'm allowed to, later today.

Halo 1 - This game should have come out on PC first, but Microsoft paid Bungie a handsome sum of Bill Gates' pocket change to make it X-box exclusive. The X-box launches and it's the only good game on it for the first 2 years of the system's life. In late 2003, the game is finally "ported" to the intended platform, the almightly PC. Most of the textures are low-res, the environments are repetitive, the action is run, gun, and wait for your damn shield to recharge. All in all, this is an over-hyped game that could have been better with more variety in environments, less back tracking, and the friggin ability to carry more than two weapons at a time.

Halo 2 - Since I don't like the X-box, I am going to say in my biased opinion that this will be the second and last good game of the X-box's life. What's new? Well, it's on Earth, it stars the same enemies and maybe some new even more annoying ones, you wield 2 weapons at once, and the earth vehicles can be destroyed! Go ahead and enjoy this game, X-boys, it still won't beat Half-life 2.

You can use XBC though. Some people are playing right now. I have been looking into softmodding my xbox for the past few hours...I know basically how to do it...but then I'd pretty much be preventing myself from ever using XBL unless I wanted to spend some money for Splinter Cell and Action Replay. Bah. Whenever I do mod my xbox...I'll just get the mod chip so I can still play XBL.

See what gets me upset is there are so many fans of HALO and HL2 but they will steel pirate if they can get their hands on them earlier. I not saying everyone but there are some, and I can't say anything because I have pirated games before but not games that Im big fan of. See if people want games to have sequels, that they are made about, they so buy the games, because the more money the developers get, the more they are up to making a sequel, personally I hope they make up there mind to make sequels to the game I love, thats why Im willing to pay for that. Please don't troll me :p

I hear the talking is French, but the text is english. There's subtitles you can turn on too I guess.

The ONLY good game?? WTF are you smoking dude? XB has a wayy better game line up than any other console. PC isnt much to brag about either. All the games we thought were gonna be good turned out to be hype. Would'nt be supprised if HL2 sucked.

Apparently i read on the gamefaqs.com forums that 2 Gamespot reviewers commented on the game in one of the forums after having played the full version and said something similar to what i said above. Of course i haven't seen it though, but thats just what i read. Its probably bullshit
 
It is indeed very sad to see this game leaked. I don't know what caused it, but Bungie should probably have alot more secrecy and security around these copies.
It is pretty safe to say that as however the game is spreading like fire on P2P networks, this will not be that much of an impact on Bungie's profit, especially since most people will prefer a bought english version over a french-speech one. The same thing could happen again though, and then an english copy might be leaked, and the impact could reach the amount of mony loss similar to the Doom 3 leak.
I hope things go well, I will definitely buy Halo 2 as I've been waiting for it for a very long time by now.

Now I have. I'd give a bunch of impressions...but alas...against forum rules. All I'll say is...as a HUGE Halo fan...this is MUCH better than Halo 1. I actually like the covie weps now and SP is cool. It feels a little different than Halo though. I dunno how to describe it.

bit odd it happens so easily alot of the time... meh, it sucks to leak it, but by heck the publicity is probably quite good :O
