I have high hopes for the 4 player co-op in this . Halo 3 never worked for me in co-op with more than two people, but the slower pace and greater focus on planning could make it work in ODST.

No they don't. I'll admit that the ODST with the Recon helment (4th soldier from the left) looks a little odd, though.

Really looking forward to this preview.

Halo 3 is my favourite game. It's totally awesome. Wooo

This game might be alright. Hopefully all of the 5 year olds will stick with Halo 3 multiplayer due to ODST being more strategic.

not a chance, it has halo in the title after all

Dear Halo,

Go die in a hole.

Thanks,

Due to your awesome avatar and your clearly well thought out ideas, I've decided that I want to have your children.
The fact that this is physically impossible just makes me want it even more.

The more I think about this game, the more it appears, in my head, to play the way I wish Halo would play normally. Slow-paced, tactical urban battles against Jackals, Grunts and Brutes? Yes please.

Anyone notice that your squad is the cast of Firefly? Nathan Fillion is your squad leader, Alan Tudyk is the demo expert, and Adam Baldwin has the big gun. The whole thing looks like they've taken the idea of Republic Commando and ran with it in the Halo universe.

I'm interested, to say the least.

So is it safe to say that if I don't have Halo 3 already, and I just want it for the multiplayer, I should just wait until this comes out instead of buying Halo 3?

Yup. The 2nd disk has all the Halo 3 multiplayer content.

Nobody else is hyped for 4 player ODST co-op?

4 player co-op would make me very happy. Hell, it's hard to find 4 player versus on one console now. Which is awful.

Meh. This isn't as tactical as we'd hoped it would be. It's Halo with more story elements and actual health.

Bit early to tell. That's also onslaught mode - not the campaign.

ODST is how Halo should have been all along with the whole squad-based tactical getup. Too bad it's a little late.

Halo was pretty tactical. Halo 2 turned the series into a run-and-gun laser fest, and it hasn't recovered since. I really hope ODST measures up.

Just pre-ordered this. Mostly just for the co-op. Halo 3 felt like pretty medicore... But it was damn fun while playing split-screen with a friend. Plus I get sgt. Johnson! ^^

No, if you want Halo 3 multiplayer but with the original Halo's pistol you should get this game.

>expecting this to actually be tactical

Ehhhh... I'm not really looking forward to this game at all.

I have no idea what this game is about. Someone give me the one sentence pitch for it please.

Halo universe normal soldier.

Or, if you like:

Halo minus Master Chief.

Pick the four word definition of your choice.

I still dont get how Halo is so popular.

To me, all 3 were very mediocre corridor gunners with a mp that could be found elsewhere in FPS games.
