Halo 3 Weapons/Vehicles DISCUSS

Here is a list of weapons that I thought competed with each other when it came to personal preferences.

Would you rather have the:

Assault Rifle or Battle Rifle?

Shotgun or Mauler?

Needler or Spiker?

Plasma Pistol or USMC Pistol?

I don't care about a certain weapon will only be good in a certain situation. Just let me know which ones u prefer over the others. And you don't have to answer every single one unless you want to.

Those plasma grenades are pretty cool cause they stick in the target. I'd like to try sticking one on some team mate and make him a sort of kamikaze guy, just for sh*t 'n giggles

The Battle Rifle is the best gun in the game. It can kill ANYTHING.
The needler was pretty much uber pwnt and is now the fastest reloading weapon and pwns everything.
Dual-Wielding spikers is fun. Maulers are pretty much useless. The assault rifle isn't much use on higher difficulty levels. Gravity hammer is too slow for it's own right. prefer the sword.
The ghost has also been overpowered.

Brute Chopper = one of my favorite vehicles in a game ever.

Too bad the USMC Hornet feels like an afterthought. I was hoping for a better air vehicle experience, even if it is incredibly effective with homing rockets.

I'm loving the hammer and sword at the moment. The Assault Rifle is awesome.

I actually prefer the Covenant Carbine to the Battle Rifle simply because I think it is more versatile when that target across the map has a buddy pop out in front of you. I'm glad they brought back the assault rifle simply for its good medium range ability.

The BR reigns on maps like Valhalla and Sandtrap, and to be fair it's awesome in close combat, but I like to mix things up with both the BR and AR.

I don't use Covenant weapons much except for in close quaters where I either use the Needler or the Spiker/Mauler combo.

The AR got kind of useless once I started playing on Heroic and Legendary. It's okay for a starting weapon on multiplayer, though. But I'd always take the BR over it.

On legendary there is no use for it, I must admit. But in Heroic I just use it for style.

I love dual wielding maulers for guarding flags and king of the hill. Popping out from behind a wall and giving them a double pop is always so satisfying.

I also like the spartan laser. I was worried it was going to be really stacked, but it fits in nicely.
