More people here like Halo than you think.
It's not bad, people just jump on the bandwagon. The multiplayer is great, and overall it's an average game.

halo 1 was good, not wait, halo 1 was ok. halo 2 and 3 are freaking SHIT, bunge stuffed the whole thing up.

i sometimes think do these guys even try some of the maps they make.

Pretty much everyone here is just 'meh' towards the game, as in - It's not great, but not horrible, it's a ridiculously average game that gets more hype then deserved.

You, on the other hand, love the game (I've argued with you plenty of times over it ;) )

:p

It's one of those "Rockband" games you see now. It's so popular! I'M SO GOOD AT ROCKBAND LAWL!!! So is this 5 year old kid. Not that I enjoy games just because I think they're unpopular or easy for small children, but... I'm really just tired of games now =\

But really, what the **** is with these gay ass games that every ****ing teenager/pre-teen in the world plays?

It does disappointed me that there are so many better games out there, but they insist that Halo is the best game ever. Personally, I'm getting bored of it. Right now, the only games I'm really playing are strategy games. I need to think a little bit. I was playing Civ4, but then the surge protector got unplugged and lost all my data from 2250 back to when it autosaved in 2060.
P.S. How the **** did the U.S. build that spaceship so fast? It would take me at least another 200 years.

Invest in a $1k UPS as a side benefit to not randomly loosing power you get "clean" power.

I consider Bungie and Halo some of he banes of good video games. Halo was just an xbox release title that has been milked for all it's worth. It's like the whole Saw moive series, they exist because people watch them not because they're good.

It's not horrible, it's marketable, and there's a large community that doesn't keep looking for better games after they find it.

I have nothing against the games: I can choose not to play them. (I beat the first one.) I can't, however, always avoid people making ridiculous claims about it being an amazing game, so that alone about Halo annoys me.

It's just an action movie in game form. Good, mindless entertainment.

I quite enjoyed the Halo series (all of it), but I would not wish to drink a Halo CD shake.

Except I jumped on the bandwagon before there was a bandwagon. So apparently, if a group of people dislike a game because it wasn't good to them, it's a bandwagon? People really need to learn to stop generalizing on things so they can look like they know what's going on in peoples heads...People hate things, it's the way it is....I guess we need to change the "hate" emotion to "bandwagoning"

"Poppy giveth, and poppy taketh away. And now poppy blendeth!"

So funneh. I didn't even know this ad campaign was still running.

You must really suck if your playing that far into the game.

Halo 1 was certainly one of my favorite games at the time and I was as hyped over Halo 2 as the next guy (and I loved it) but Halo 3 never really got my attention like the other two did. New weapons and graphics were great and all but it just felt like Halo 2 but better looking. I have not played multiplayer yet so that might be why I'm not so interested but a lot of my friends bought the game and ended up trading it back in because they got bored with it.

I would definitely agree that halo 1 was fantastic but halo2 and 3 are average IMO not great but not bad and they define overrated.

I don't hate halo. I just think the first was just above average and the others were meh.

if you're too picky to enjoy halo's greatly balanced action i have no idea what the **** you're doing in a game community. there's no masterpiece game (on equal terms of a great movie) out, and probably won't until developers have enough cash and interest for that. there's bad games and different kinds of good games, halo is part of the latter.. no matter how you twist and turn the issue.

Not everyone plays for conquest. It's sometimes fun to try for late game victories like Diplomatic or Space Race...

Halo is a good, fun game; but it's ridiculously overrated to the point of nausea.

I enjoyed the first Halo, 2 was just shocking and 3 bored me quickly, I could never arsed with the multiplayer since I was hooked on the CoD games at the time, like CoD and CoD 2 and the time or Halo 1 and 2, and now CoD 4 by the time I got around to playing 3.

The only thing that makes me hate it is, like Samon said, the ridiculous amount of hype they get, and for what?

I played and beat halo for the pc and it was mediocre. I never got into the multiplayer. Skipped on 2 and my brother bought halo 3 for the 360 at my eldest brothers request so we could play with each other through xbl. I only play halo 3 for the multiplayer I admit the multiplayer is pretty simple but fun. Haven't passed the second mission and I most likely will never because the single player is boring and the story is uninteresting to me

Eh, I dont see why hype bothers people so much. If I know a game is crap but everyone else thinks otherwise its not my goal to try and convince everyone that its not.

The Halo series has always had fun multiplayer though, and its fantastic fun to get 12+ buddies together in one house playing it.

haha the guy's expression from 0:50 to 0:53 is priceless

Boooooooo!

The only reason Halo 3 co-op wasn't the absolute best thing about gaming last year was because Mario Galaxy wtfpwned everything. Best co-op fps ever - by miles and miles and miles ...

No offense, but that makes you insane :rolling:

(I liked it too - it just lacks all the depth that makes the meta game a stroke of genius)

Ah, you like the simple no brainer co-op. Nubbin ;)

The majority of people on these boards that criticise Halo are as tiresome as the people out there that think it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Sliced bread is shit, it's so overrated and overhyped. I mean, the first loaf was alright but since then it's just gone downhill and gotten too much attention.

No.

I actually prefer Halo over GOW by alot but I did find it more fun to play coop with my friends than on halo which I have quickly found to become back seat to cod 4

Halo is an average game that exceeds at only one thing. Multiplayer. Without it I wouldn't have bought the game. Those of you that are saying it's crap then fine. I would rather you not play the game as halo is a game you need to get into to enjoy. It takes a while to get decent at the game and I would rather not have nubs running around making my team lose. However, if you enjoy competitive multiplayer then this game is perfect. It is very well balanced and has a very large active community. This game isn't even worth reviewing unless you have actually played a lot of multiplayer and gotten a feel for the game. I love this game and play it all the time. Multiplayer offers so much for this game, especially if you have friends to play with. This game offers endless entertainment as the games are hardly ever the same. I love that about halo, so many variants, different matchmaking and your always paired up with a variety of differently skilled people. It sounds more like people here are bashing a game they don't understand why it's popular. You hermits need to put your prejudices aside and play the game to have fun. I assure you once you learn to not get your ass kicked in a console shooter you might actually have fun.
