Multiplayer gets boring on public servers - it can be very enjoyable and rewarding experience in clans tho, and far from boring.
Doesn't it worry you that the 'good' single player games that have been mentioned so far are all very old?? HL, Deus Ex, Grim Fandango and System Shock 2 ......... good single player pc games are very few and far between

Heh, funny you should say that. Reminds me of why I own a PS2 and a GBA. Most console games are just awful, unoriginal and show absolutely no innovation.
I guess we can conclude that pc's and consoles revel themselves in trite forgettable games, with the few occassional must-have games.
I'm not a console fan boy - or biased towards a certain platform - it's just the way it is.
GFX don't result in a enjoyable gaming experience alone (and in multiplay are almost redundant) It's about gameplay at the end of the day.
Can't wait for HL2 tho - 'pc in good game shocker'
Me neither. And I have a pc to play such marvels as SimCity 4, Half-Life, Thief series, Gothic 2, Baldur's Gate II, SU-2 and various MMORPGS. And I have my PS2 to play GTA VC. And my GBA to play Yoshi. Etc.

I only played the Chaser demo..... It sucked utter ass. What is better about the full version?

Apart from the old games (rose tinted glasses are great ) there arn't any good single player shooters in that list, plenty of not bad ones (I found SOF and NOLF series to be completely dire )
I'm tempted by Chaser - didn't mind the multiplayer demo (the pistol was excellent )

I have played a game with the scale of Chaser, even HL doesn't have the scale of chaser. by scale i mean grandur and size. Its epic and when you've finished it, you'll know what i mean.
People please speak up if you've played it, needs more recommendations

the stories pretty good, best for awhile, at least it has one. I agree stories with mars in have been done to death but its just a location not really a mojor story point. The levels there are fantasic though, great graphics and lighting. The assault level is staggering, it put MOH to shame.

I like jumping the buggies. THose things are awesome. When my and my pal used to play cooperatively on XBOX, he would be the gunner, and I would drive off ledges and jump out in my air, hystarical. lol

i thought halo was gonna be cool....however many years ago i heard about it being made for pc...then microsoft ruined it.
sure... a war will be fought by two games...one hugely anticipated one that has a gigantic loyal fanbase that can't wait for it to come out...
and another game...an average console game being ported to the PC a year too late for anyone to care...
halo's already been checked out by everyone that cares...and they either love it as a console game and don't want to buy it for PC if they already did for xbox...or they're PC owners that have played halo on xbox and decided it's not worth buying...ESPECIALLY on the same day hl2 is coming out.
