this poll is to find out which one out of Half-life or Halo you guys prefer.
IMPORTANT: plese note we are not voting on any of the games in paticular, we are voting on them as a series.

It seems the poll is so void that the internet won't let it exist.

Edit: By some kind of evil magic it's appeared, and is extremely directed in Halo's favour.

how did u guys post so quickley, i only just finished it??????!!!!!!>>>>>??????!

Where is the "Halo is good but severely overhyped option" ? :bounce:

**** YOU, NO

Seriously, this is a Half-Life forum. What's wrong with you?

I played Halo several times and just couldn't grasp what all the hype was about. Even played some multiplayer with some friends and still didn't like it. Plus, most of Halo's weapons seemed lame to me, but that's just my opinion. Also, the vehicles felt like soap sliding around in a bathtub. Worst modern FPS physics ever. Plus, every level looked the same to me. Lame textures, lame generic sounds, lame everything.

I haven't played Halo3 yet, but I imagine it's pretty much more of the same but with fancier graphics.

The half-life series is indeed superior to me imo.

Halo is the best game ever. I've never even played Half-Shit.

^

Agreed. We must convert to halolife2.net

Halo was alright, it was playable and quite fun despite the level design. Halo 2 i just couldn't stand.

My own thoughts exactly! :O

I did rather enjoy the third one, mind you. Anyway, this is only serving to send this thread waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of control.

Sweep it under the carpet before Warbie gets here!

The real question is, what is harder to endure? Anal Warts or Halo?

Anal Warts.

At least you can stop playing Halo.

Halo 1 and 3 were fun, nothing remarkable or really memorable.

Half-Life 2 despite being nothing really new in my eyes, was incredibly fun all the way through and had several memorable sequences.(Ravenholm, Citadel run, fighting your first strider, riding like a bat out of hell down that shit heap away from helicopters.... god damn it forgot the name, I'm definitely playing through Half-Life 2 again, haven't done so in atleast 2 1/2 years.)

God damnit, I thought we killed off this epidemic years ago

Sadly, I voted anyway, as polls are my hidden weakness.

Halo is good but Half-life is way better,

Halo 1 was good and bits and pieces of 2 and 3. Its not even comparable to Half-Life

Halo 1 was better than Halo 2, at least in the singleplayer. Both sucks in comparison with Half-Life though.

Halo 1, 2 and 3 are all good games IMO, sure not great, but better than most shit that's put out today.

I think that most people are just being shallow assholes and hating on Halo to be 'politically correct' on these forums, seeing as hating on Halo these days seems as popular as it was writing "M$" back in the day.

But then again maybe I have an easier time appreciating Halo because I've played such an extremely large amount of games, which means I've experienced alot more shit titles than most others and which might mean my standards aren't up to date..

But fact still stands, when Halo 1 first came out in '01 it was very good for a FPS, fun in SP, fun in MP, good co-op, nice vehicles etc.

Somehow I think someone really likes Valve (I do too... I just can't vote 1337 times).

I like to play Halo for it's multiplayer.

I like to play Half-Life for it's singleplayer.

Simple as that.

There is no comparison Im afraid.

Thread over.

I never got why Halo's multiplayer was popular. Halo has a good story and some of the best AI in a shooter, but it's a slow-paced game without much emphasis on things like accuracy and dodging; hell, the auto-aim practically does the job for you. You'd think you'd want something that's faster, more competitive, and requires more skill from the player.

I'm not talking about "Sit at home alone on XBox Live" multiplayer. I don't even own a 360.

I mean playing the four-player deathmatches at friend's houses and stuff, those unique-ish moments that you talk about for hours afterwards.

Edit: Basically, the non-serious "lulz all swords after five shots of vodka" kind of multiplayer.

Why, did you hear that that Halo game has repeatative architecture? Oh My. That George Bush has been in the news a lot recently.

Shit, I have that fun with BF2 or something. After 5 shots of Vodka, any game can be fun!

Halo nicely illustrates the fallacy of "<large number> of <group of people> can't be wrong."

It's not a bad game, but it's definitely middle-of-the-pack, but somehow treated as if it were king.

Whoever edited the poll wins 5 internets.
