GAZA CITY (AP) -- Gunmen from the rival Hamas and Fatah movements battled each other in Gaza Sunday, continuing an increasingly bloody power struggle over the Palestinian government that left the coastal strip littered with dead over the weekend, while civilians cowered in their homes.

An explosion early in the morning rocked the home of a bodyguard to Fatah strongman Mohammed Dahlan, but the man was not in the building and no casualties were reported. At least eight people were wounded in exchanges of fire between the sides overnight, Palestinian security officials said.

The latest round of fighting began late Thursday after a Hamas activist was killed in a bombing and by Saturday night 25 Palestinians had been killed, with at least 76 wounded and efforts to forge a coalition government had ground to a standstill.

Hamas is so "good" for its people. :|
Don't know what the total death toll is over the last few days, but today 25 dead and 76 wounded in a bombing. :(

I can't seem to decide if Iraq, or Palestine should be voted "the worlds shithole" of 2007.

Let's get ready to rumbleeeeeee!

They can duke it out all they want. If they want to do the job of the Israelis by killing each other, that'd be swell.

What a douchey thing to say, in light of your signature.

I might be a horrible cynic but at least I'm solid enough in my philosophy not to get all racial one-upmanship about it. Yeah, thank god they're exterminating themselves so the jews won't have to!

Last I checked, all forms of religious conflict are bad, regardless of how much of a vested interest your nation or faith might have in one side.

It's good in the sense that they're starting to hate each other as much if not more than they hate yahud. And that's the first realization the Muslim world needs on the road towards secularity.
