Ok, here is my problem, I am color blind and I cant see the damn crosshairs for most of the HL2 source games. CSS I might as well just say to hell with it and not see any thing.

I need darker crosshairs period. or a simple frigging dot to use, that is deep red. For now I have to do something that I am not telling to many people that I have to do but this is very annoying for me and my family. And when my wife plays she messes up what I have so she can play!

So if anyone can make me a set of red hairs using the orginal ones but a lot darker I would be thankful! If not this is a very unfair advantage others have over me in game play! Please someone help me if you can please PM me in what can be done about my problem!

You can change the crosshair colours in the menu if that's what you're after

Nope all four colors are way to pale for me to see. I am not able to use any of them!

And to the guys comment about it not belonging here in this forums. Obviously it has to go some where and this forum is where you can get some type of help. From those who can either program or model or do crap the common community cant do so please if you had nothing to offer then please back off. OBVIOUSLY I am seeking HELP! And that is part of this forums topic!

sorry to hear about that color blindness... i guess it is a real PITA

pain in the ass bread.

I'm not familiar with working on sprites, but you could probably find some alternate crosshairs around the internet. I know there were dozens for CS back in the day.

* Moved to CSS section (not CGS, simply because custom sprite people will be in here more often )

cl_crossharalpha

I think thats the command anyways, mess with that until you can see, I think it adjusts the transparancy of the xhair. Setting it to opaque should help some.

cl_crosshairscale

I think this might help too, if the xhair gets bigger it might be easier to locate on-screen.

its

cl_crosshairusealpha

i set it to 5 its a lot darker

with cl_crosshairscale i have it set to 1800 however the lower the number the larger the crosshair

just find the centre and draw a cross on the monitor with a white bord pen, and dont spray to much.

I'm colour blind too, but I can see the crosshairs... If none of the available crosshairs work for you, I recommend what big_king said. I wouldn't download anything if I was you, when VAC 2 comes it might count that as cheating somehow.

I haven't tried it, but Exclamatio's response seems like a good idea. I can see why you have a problem with the crosshair though, I'm not colour blind but it is still very hard on the eyes because sometimes it blends in with what you're looking at...

Is there any way to make the crosshair thicker, these are to thin for me to clearly see in teh heat of fighting. You knwo jus ta command to make those 4 stripes that make the crosshair up thicker.

u cant make them thicker only darker and lighter

you can make them longer also but not thicker

Are there any custom crosshair downloadable, and why aren't there any custom models downloadable for css as of yet, I mean there are thousands for cs 1.6

You just have to know the center of your screen perfectly, I guess. It's good practice to play without one.

cl_realhud 1 in the specialists - the only way to be leet!

Since this is in the CS:S forum, i'll assume that you play CS:S.

cl_crosshair_color "0 0 0"

makes it black I think.
