Sadly, it's storming here, so I'm not sure I'll get to do much with my family today
 
How do you yanks usually celebrate the day? any special procedure?

I've been sitting behind my computer all day, doing nothing.
 
Fine fine, Happy 4th to EVERYONE! lol, just I don't imagine England would celebrate the independance of America from them ;)

Anyhow.. I can't edit my original post, so, just pretend it says "to all" :)

Anyway, normally, wherever I've lived, there's generally bands and what not at various places, and a fireworks demonstration at the end of the day.. that's what everyone looks forward to
 
we might go to the fairgrounds and watch the fireworks, that'll be fun

Some jackasses were having a barbeque next to us yesterday and shooting off rockets TOWARD our house. We were getting pelted with rockets in some sort of freaky battleship game. When we got up in the morning we picked up around 20 rockets off our lawn and roof.

Why do people always use the term Yank, or Yankee anyways? I know its history, but i've never liked it... I view it as derogatory, but then again, i'm crazy, right?
 
Yeah, happy 4th to everyone! I'm on sort of a "break" right now... finished most of our daylight fireworks and just have to wait for the onset of evening for the rest. :)

Time for BBQ now, though... :D

And yes it is VERY nice here... not even one cloud I can see...

Happy 4th of July!

I won't be setting off fireworks since that's illegal over here (besides, I burned my hand a long time ago on one of those sparkler things. My sister was holding one out and I thought she was giving it to me, but really she had already burned it. She didn't even say anything when I grabbed it, just walked away.... grr). But I'll probably suffer through a few mosquito bites and stand outside watching the legal fireworks shows from my aunt's house.
 
I suppose firework restrictions are the only way to stop wankers. I'd gladly surrender my right to organise a family display over here if it meant blocking the thugs and arsonists.

Just so I don't feel left out I think I'm going to do something random and call it "celebration". What am I celebrating? Dropping you madmen from our oversized colonial group :LOL:
 
It has been raining here most of the day, and I am too tired to go do anything. I barbecued the other day early because my brother has to work today, and that was fun. I will probably go to the fireworks tonight if its not raining. I didnt get any of my own this year because the state I live in now the moving ones are illegal, but whatever...

It just finished raining here and we're about to start a BBQ up. Hamburgers, hotdogs and fireworks for everyone!

the sun is out most of the time. although recently we've been getting showers at really odd times. but it doesn't matter, i like the rain.

and hope you fellas in the US had a good 4th july.
 
Good ol' Cumbria has had really chaotic weather recently. Usually we're damp or mild with the odd thunderously heavy rainshower, but we've been having alternate bouts of blazing sunshine and torrential rain. Gah.

The first independence day was in 1776, wasn't it? Or have I screwed up my history again...?
 
Well everytime I watch golf on TV that is based on Europe, it's ALWAYS cloudy, ALWAYS.

Maybe it's....Scotland, is Scotland bad for cloudy weather?
 
I juat got back from the big firework show. :)

:thumbs: Happy 4th of July, leaving for a party @ 10 PST! Today I went to an Anime Expo held in Anaheim,CA with my cousin. Came back home at 3:00 PM PST, went to my next door neighbor house and got laid by my neighbor(she is hot). Now I am done.

god, i live in like the center of all fireworks shows, everytime one ends another begins...it's 10:40 now and they're have been shows since 8:30, after the third one i just called it quits
 
:cheers: Haha, don't even start. I live in Long Beach, fireworks in the streets here is illegal. So people have to light fireworks at the beach, while there are fireworks shows. I live about 10 minutes on foot from the beach, so about half a mile away. My god as I am typing this, it sounds like ferking thunder! I see flashes of lights, people yelling and screaming while the sounds of thunder from fireworks are blowing up :rolling: .
