What are the cultural reasons?

Yeah, I only recently realised that Father's Day isn't some international thing. Different countries celebrate it on different days, majority of them in June.

We kinda have the same thing, except we tie their shoes together and hide all the scissors and knives...then they have to pay us to get scissors back. That's the tradition anyway. Used to hide under the table, tie the legs, get back up and dad would be there with money on the table waiting hehe.
