Hard Drive Speed

Does hard drive speed make a difference in computer speed? Im deciding whether to buy a hard drive at 10,000 rpm or not. Would it affect my fps for different games?

i have a 5200rpm hard drive...would going to a 7200rpm make a difference?

The only difference would be your loading times, which would make a huge difference in a game like Half Life 2.

it would make a difference of course. might gain a few fps. since loading stuff into memory from hard drive faster the better
