Im seeing this movie this weekdn thanks to a friend, and a sneak peak pass. Anyone else excited about this ? Ill tell you how the movie goes and I havent read the book in a while so Im probably gona be a bit dodgey with details.

I'm about this -><- excited that a new Harry Potter film is coming out.

Har har, the only thing I like about the upcoming HP-4 is that blockbusters like those keep our local movie theater alive, so I can watch better films with a big screen.

If you're over 16 and want to go see Harry Potter, then you need your head examined.

Watch better movies and read better books, please. Thanks.

If you don't have anything positive to contribute, then don't post at all.

Read all the books and thoroughly enjoyed them. Can't say I'm a fan of the movies, but I've enjoyed them. Probably wait for Goblet of Fire come to DVD.

p.s. Tim Burton should direct a Harry Potter movie!

Think I'll go and see it next Friday. I haven't been a fan of the films, but afetr reading the books it's good to check and see how the films follow.

I dunno mate, seems to me it depends what you enjoy; christ, my girlfriend enjoys Sailor Moon

If you are over 16 and enjoy Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings then you are in position to enjoy Harry Potter. The only thing stopping most people from enjoying it is the classic "Oh but im too mature for that" argument, which is usually easily proven wrong for most individuals, and in reality if you feel the need to give that argument then chances are you are not very mature yourself.

Harry Potter books are really good, if you don't enjoy them then tough luck because the only one losing is you. The movies could be better but I still enjoy them.

Im 16, and I enjoy the movies just because they make you view the book in a new manner, but just because you use your quasinsults over the internet isn't going to stop me from seeing the Potter.
Im getting excited :D. Sometimes its fun pretending youre a kid.

I'll see it but I don't expect much, the other movies were rather on the lame side of things... I do enjoy the books though, much to my chagrin.

i saw the other 3 and i thought "meh" but this one is supposed to be better than the others! so i might go and see it, its a tough choice between Chicken Little and Harry Potter though... :E

i just saw it, well it was in my opinion a bit better than the third. theres no holes really in the movie and it comes to together in the end.
i just wished they were more quidditch scenes, and more evil things to battle.

its a solid movie and it will SCARE you

the durmstang/and the other visiting school entrance is a must see its seems so cultish
and this movie begins out really dark and carries the same dark atmoshpere if you read the book, the movie moves rapidly.

But in the 4th book there isn't even a real quidditch match played at the school :P

I'm really excited for the movie. Seeing it sometime this weekend.

Comes out this Friday, hell yeah I'll be watching it.

its not released, as i said before my friends dad owns a newspaper and for his newspaper to review the movies youhave to see them before hand.. i meant the qudditch scene in the beginning of the book. it looks like it was an intense match tho :(

This is gonna be the best movie, gonna watch it a week after it comes out.
I shun those who shun Harry Potter and never read the books, or watched it.
"Its about a Wizard School. Oh! Has the word Wizard, I'm to mature for it." How much times have I heard that comment.
If you watched it, or read the books, didn't like it, well, thats your opinion, I think it is cool though.

I like the books(I think Harry's a bit of an asshole in the latest 2 though) but I hate the films.

I saw the midnight showing last night(this morning actually). I thought it was really good however all they show are the tri wizard tournaments really. No more harry going to classes or anything like that. No day to day routine really, just things that are about the tournament. I guess they did that because the movie would take forever to show all of that. I still thought it was good though.

My brother watched it before all of you thanks to this neat thing called timezones ;) And Friday? Didn't it come out 17/11?

I find it funny how every harry potter film is supposibly better then the last. The first one was "the best childrens film EVER!!, the next topped that one and you guessed it, the third beat em both. That's why while scanning recent reviews it was no suprisie to see that this installment is "the best potter yet". When in actuality they(the first 3) are poorly acted( the kids anyway) and filled with plot holes.

What the hell, i'll end up seeing it anyway.

i was it when it came out, 12:01 last night. I thought it was an awesome movie, but my friends (who have read the book) said it was just alright.

In the 1st/2nd film Hermoiny actualy says Voldimort by name and Ron doesn't even react.

It was quite good. Ron only did his stupid mugging once in the entire thing and it got the funny/serious mix down pat. But does anyone else think that Harry Potter is suited far better to a TV series like Lost than a film? Think about it. Each book spans an entire year at Hogwarts, which is pretty long, and is basically a series of self-contained 'events' which all link to each other. Instead of films it should be a TV show - Series one = book one, Series 2 = book 2, etc.

Eh? Eh?

EDIT: Anyone else notice that Radcliffe's acting seemed to improve literally as the film went on?

I dont think thatd work simply because of cost and probably alot of people wouldnt watch it seeing as they already read the book, but maybe in 20 years or so when the book isnt as popular I can see it MAYBE happening.

Ditto. I'm still not convinced about Emma Watson's, but the acting of Radcliffe was seriously pleasing and powerfully exhibited.

Movies are not shot sequentially, so that's probably just some strange illusion you noticed.

I read half of the first book and saw the first movie and I can say without a doubt, Harry Potter is a good story, with a shitty, SHITTY author at the helm, made into an infantile movie that sucks. I refuse to have anything more to do with this atrocious series.

I enjoyed it. But really...

...cutting the Quidditch World Cup? What was up with that? ''Let the match begin! BAM! *Cuts to scene of everyone celebrating*

Everything seemed abit fast, too. Also, I hadn't minded the new Dumbledor in the last however many movies he's replaced the older one in (is it one? I can't remember), but for some reason he bothered me alot in this movie. I don't know why, though. Voldemort reminds me of Vinnie Jones, too.

As someone who's never seen a Harry Potter movie or read a Harry Potter book, I thought it was very obvious that things were cut. Eveything just went by so fast. As a stand alone movie, it was alright, better than I thought it would be, but I definitely won't be watching it again
Oh, and those French girls? GOD DAMN.

I bet they've got armpits like my legs underneath those shiny blue dresses :(

I enjoyed the first 3 movies... will enjoy this one. Except this time i'll be seeing it with my girlfriend ;)

I haven't read the books. I may do one day. But as movies i think they're awesome.

Ya I thought the same thing what happened to the wronski feint... singing veelas, and the whole fleur delacour being a half veela. But I guess for time sakes only a person like peter jackson could pul that off. I hate the way time was wsted in the yule ball scenes... Im pretty sure they couldve salvaged atleast 15 minutes of stuff they couldve kept in the film.
