I thought it was a decent movie even though I have pretty much forgotten most of the details since reading the book and I also forgot what happened in part 1. When I get back to the US I plan on watching all of the movies in order. Had to watch in 3D as that was the only option that was available and it wasn't even very "3d-ish."

True. There were some scenes where I thought the 3D would've been neat (such as in the battle scenes.) I never pay more for 3D tickets when I am in the U.S. as it hasn't impressed me much.

3D definitely sucks and is a waste of money for everyone.
