Has anyone heard of or tried Joost? I checked out their website and it looks pretty cool. It lets you watch tv shows on the internet for free, but it is currently an invite-only beta like gmail a few years ago. Does anyone have any invites to share so more people can have a chance to try out Joost? My email is force3sphere[at]yahoo[dot]com if anyone has an invite. Hopefully we can trade invites and get a lot of people signed up to try it.

im currently beta testing it but it wont run on my crappy integrated :S. i dont understand why , but for some reason they used opengl 1.2 to render their user interface :S.

Do you happen to have any invite tokens? I'd love to try it out, thanks.. my email is force3sphere[at]yahoo[dot]com

Ive been around these forums for a while, but I couldn't remember my account name :D

So, you've been around for awhile, but you can't remember your account name...

Ok, so we can get back on topic, I have recovered my password and logged into my original account. Anyways, how is Joost?

lol. Way to recount almost word for word what he just said.

I want to try this also, ive heard a lot about it from another forum.

I deserve it more than anyone.
But I have other sites so I don't care.

Yeah I got the beta a while back, but they only have a few 'channels' (read: videos) on there and they're all poop. I guess the technology is good, it all works fine, but till they get some decent content thats worthwhile, I won't be using it.

Top Gear > 5th Gear

Edit: OOOhhhh I take it back ... i've just got the new version and it's jam-packed with new channels!! Awesome! Still no top gear though.

Yeah in the UK everyone has to pay TV license to fund the BBC's shitty news channels and programs.

Dan you should remove those links, as they infringe upon copyright laws and as such are not allowed on this forum.

I don't think that they do. The sites don't host anything illegal. It's the same as a bittorrent search site.

And you know hl2.net's rules on bit-torrent, don't you?

Yeah, top gear is awesome.. but some of those shows on the national geographic channel on Joost look pretty interesting

Lol. Your original account was from three years ago (2004), and was used to make 5 posts. Yeah, that's MUCH better and makes WAY more sense than just joining a game site to ask about "Joost". So, you basically thought to yourself "I want Joost - I know! I went to some GAME forum 3 years ago! They can help me!". You return after a few years just to ask about THIS? Fking lol.

I'm agreeing with Shasta? Wtf. Got to give him credit for his username, though.

Hmm, just got the acceptance email yesterday, better check it out. Though there isn't anything interesting on.

Excuse the bump, but for those still interested, joost has given me 3 invites. Reply here if you're interested. New version 0.92.

I are interested, and I has a cookie for you :D

I exchanged all my beta invites for sexual favors.

You know watching tv shows and movies online is illegal??

*hides the 4 bookmarked links in his firefox to tv websites, and thanks god for them as hes watched almost every new movie a few weeks before they get released in the cinema*

I`m sure this should`ve been locked or something..

All the sites he listed are completely legal, I dont see why there would be a problem.....
