Has anyone w/o Internet bought the game yet?

I guess we already know that it requires internet for singleplayer, but I guess I have some vain hope that this isn't true or there is some way to work around this. I have a nice computer, but because of my current circumstances I dont have internet at home (no phone line either, only my cell) So I was just going to ask if anyone w/o internet had bought it yet? It's the only thing that's stopping me from buying it - if I can't play it, what's the point. I guess I might just have to wait till a "no-steam" crack is released.

You could go to a friend's house, use the net there to install/activate the game, and then take your PC home and play in offline mode.
