I haven't seen any media whatsoever about the gun since the first videos of 03 were released. I hope it was and replaced with something better as it was far to big and blocking view. Also because the real thing its based off of is no longer in the works, at least not in that variant.

I think it's better this way - we already have the i-rifle and MP7, so the OICW served no purpose. The crossbow was much needed, as a sniping weapon.

Besides, the crossbow weapon model pwns the OICW's.

yeah, the xm8 is exceedingly badass, and will soon replace the problematic 45 year old m16. All of us America's Army players are hoping it will be in that game aswell.

as long as we are talking weapons. I was hoping they would put some other kind of grenade launcher in the game. right now the mp7 is launching them out of nowhere. the weapon has no place to fire or store the grenades, and from the e3 2004 vids the grenades that are launched look like the same 40mm ones that should be shot from an m203 grenade launcher, but I don't see a 40mm barrel anywhere. that irks me that they just decided to have them shoot out of nowhere to have the same weapon as in hl1

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's still in there, according to the HUD icons in the preload files of CS:S I believe. It doesn't have a scope however.
