Well, I keep getting no activity from my wi-fi connection that I have set up for some reason. I am just here to try and narrow down the reasons that might be causing it.
Right now I am plugged directly into the router as that was the only way for me to get it to work. Anyway, it has just started recently, about the last 1-2 weeks, and is happening a lot more frequently now. I can stay connected a little bit but then it will just stop working even if I wasn't using it and then try and do something.
Right now I am using http://games.dlink.com/products/?pid=643&#DGL-4500 that router with a motorola surfboard 5101 modem (I will probably switch over to my 5120 here soon....as soon as I can find it again). I wasn't really having any real problems there for a while then I started just randomly having times where it will not do anything.
I am leaning toward the built in wireless card in my laptop starting to give up on me. I am leaning toward this because if I do have a problem with the connection usually the light that says my wireless is turned on will either flicker a little or turn off completley for no reason. Another reason is because if I start having problems and I go into my network places shortcut on the desktop and then try and check the status of my wireless it wont even let me do anything with it, disable, repair, anything.
If any of you have an idea of how to try and narrow down what the problem might be post it up and I will try and figure this thing out.
Never mind, changing the drivers seems to have helped......
