heads up guys...another crappy PG-13 prequel is coming

I hope you speak better than you type, because goddamn if you're at the same level on both you might need to be encased in a block of ice in the basement for a few thousand centuries.

Go suck my cock. No wait... that'll be too good for you. Go suck my dogs cock.

Of course, Alien was always the best of the quadrilogy, right Neale?

I have lost faith in prequels/sequels of classics a long time.

The only recent sequel that i have enjoyed as much as the original is Lethal Weapon 4.
That was released over a decade ago. Rocky Balboa wasn't that bad but it couldn't wash the bad after taste that Rocky 5 left. Rambo, although a mindless gore fest and nowhere near the quality of the original was quit enjoyable.

Movies such as Terminator 3, Die Hard 4, Indiana Jones 4 are nothing but over budgeted and overhyped pop corn flicks aimed for the masses. Hence their shittyness. I have yet to see the new Terminator flick but i doubt that i am going to enjoy it.

If they are going to do a new Alien flick then Ridley Scott should direct it and it should be rated R.
Don't let some two bit hack take over a franchise such as this. As for Predator, i wouldn't mind if Robert Rodriguez directed it. He has the versatility of John Carpenter, which i love, and it's guaranteed to be rated R.

You can follow Slug Advisor.

Edit: also, far be it from me to point out that Ridley Scott was, prior to directing Alien, only really known for directing adverts...

I'm surprised David Fincher crawled out of the hole of dog shit that was Alien 3.

There is hope for everyone!

First Terminator, now this. Someone got to stop Hollywood.

Don't look now! But the adverts below heard us!

haha, i got that comic, its hard following the plot so far.

Boy, you sure got me.

I'm really glad he did. Fight Club and Se7en were marvelous. And I've heard wonderful things about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but I haven't seen that one yet.

This is silly, but whatever. There are still only two Alien movies.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Fox don't want a prequel unless Ridley Scott directs.

Yorick Weekly is reporting that no one should want a prequel.

For the most part I like Ridley Scott, and I think he is probably the only person who would actually be capable of doing another decent Alien movie.

But the problem that comes up is that if it's a prequel, there's going to be no Ripley, which is kind of an odd thing for an Alien movie. (Hell, one of the reasons that William Gibson's amazing Alien 3 script wasn't used was because it didn't feature Ripley at all.) And I think that Scott said he'd want to work with her again. But if not, that means a new protagonist, and given the way that Hollywood is going, it'll end up being like, Christian Bale or Seth Rogen.

And then there's the script.

That's odd, because I'm pretty sure that I want one. Damn, I must be wrong!

Actually, the Assembly Cut of Alien 3 improves it a lot. It still doesn't make it acceptable, though.
