Theres a heavy weapons exploit which lets you run while shooting.
Im not saying how to do it though. Just letting you guys know. ;)

That's nice, why not report it to Valve, instead of trying to make people impressed with your knowledge of a glitch?

Yea, I came across this yesterday. Some ass was being a Heavy and running along like a scout.

i just came up against 3 heavys with 3 medics doing it. its not a random glitch its an exploit. they just dominated everything.

This exploit has been going around for about 3-5 days now, Valve will patch it very soon I bet.

It takes a while to get it to work though, it's not like you can switch it on/off.

Yeah, just heard about it today.

Haven't seen it in action yet.

I told Mugsy to check into it last night, hopefully SPUF mod's forwarded the information to him or another coder.

I saw this today and it was ruining so many games. People were getting hugely pissed off at the concept of it being removed. Why people love bugs to be left I don't know...

But as long as this has been reported, lets hope it disappears soon.

That's why you should play on the halflife2.net servers... plenty of admins to ban the numpties!

How else can they get points. Not like they can get kills elsewhere.

Plus, I've yet to see this bug, so I guess I'm lucky.

People don't want it removed because then it would make the game fair again and they wouldn't be kicking so much ass...

I have yet to see this as well... Damn, Pitz, figure it out so we can own as medic + heavy :p

This glitch sounds both awesome and horrible at the same time.

Took me around 5 minutes to figure the exploit myself by just seeing a heavy in spawn shooting at the wall.

does take quite some time to setup though, and it needs concentration or you'll lose the effect again.

It has something to do with "lastinv", right?

Nope, that's what i figured first, i think it has to do with the model animations, i guess that you can only fire if the model animation is in a certain way(charging) but since you can bug your model animations it appears like you're charging, but you move like you're not.

Atleast that would be my guess, could also just be a whole other thing.

It's a whole other thing. All I know is I was doing it on single player with myself, and I STILL felt horribly gay.

Yeah I'll just take a break from tf2 until the next patch.

I don't want the horrible stench of haxor in my stats.

You know what's interesting, the way this bug is done is INCREDIBLY similar to an old bug in TFC, except it wasn't cheap or spammy--in fact, it was rather useless aside from comical effect.

All the steps for this bug and that bug are the same, except the other had an additional step that involved "lastinv," as Iron Cube and Fisker thought. All this bug did though was make it look like you were holding the crowbar, and then you start swinging it and WTF MINIGUN BULLETS. Or rockets. Or nails. Whatever you had, y'know. It took a lot of time to do, and you could lose it real easy, but man it was funny.

"Want to bar fight? LOL ROCKETS"

Damn it my favourite class being besmirched by exploiters...damn it. I hope Valve sort this ASAP. :frown:

I don't play much but I like heavy and last time I played I was easily first on a 20-man server and I didn't cheat. Heck I even had some lives with over 2000 dmg. Try finding one player who isn't an idiot (can be tough on some servers) and team up with him. Then maybe you can get a third player to be some class that supports you two.

Heavy isn't so great unless you've got some nice speedy allies nearby so support you.

hahahahahahahaha They fixed it! How you like it now, wildchild?!

That makes me wonder, is valve going to steadily release maps for the game, or let the community do it?

We'll have to wait until Pi pumps out a few.

Well they are atleast working on another map, but it'll probably mostly be the community.

Not sure if this has ever happened to anyone, but the coolest thing happened last night...

My roommate was playing TF2 and he was a HWguy, and a medic was healing him. Anyway, the medic supercharges both of them and suddenly the medic's connection times out. The thing is, My roommate (HWguy) stays ubercharged for literally a minute straight, he killed like 8-10 guys. Does that count as an exploit?

i feel good that they fixed it. I only used it once in my own server by myself.

Yeah, seen that happen and had that happen before. It's not an exploit, more like a glitch that most people wouldn't want to recreate...heh. But you should report the bug to valve, might as well let them know some more :p

the whole point of having the heavy not run is that if hed did he would pwn, meaning a shite game for everyone else. therfor, you fail.
