Hell Blaze Teaser Trailer

goddamnit! what's that song again? i know it, but can't come up with the name !!

nice models and pretty cool trailer, hope the mod turns out a succes !

Ok looking past the fact .wmv doesn't like me and it kept screwing up ;)

I thought the music fit perfectly. Far Far FAR better choice than something scary in this case

The shot at the start, in heavy fog with that single tree was great, so simple but effective

I'd have waited to do the trailer until you had the high poly models done for getting your normal maps and would have done a short scene with those, then some mock low poly in game shots thrown together in a 3D app. As Pendragon says, not much content in that. You should have waited longer, some shots of the characters appearing after their concept pics would have looked good for example.

I agree with Pendragon "over 10 weapons" seems wrong.

Otherwise really good. Oh and keep the music, atleast for the theme tune.. You have the rights to use it don't you? :) Certainly keep it

yeeeeeeees we have the rights....... ;) song is: in the house - in a heartbeat

hehe you don't have the rights do you? :D

Ask them if its ok, they'll probably say yes.. But wait till you've got more content for a really good trailer, then ask them about it

I just watched it again, managed to see it all this time.. and noticed the tree at the start loops as its zooming in. You'll fix that wont you?

I didn't know first time that you'd edited it. Nice job. I like the way you did the close up of Rachel's face. Well done trailer but clearly you were stuck for things to put in it. I'm half tempted to help cause it seems like just the scary sort of game I'd go for :)

Why not throw in a nod to Romero and have a newspaper blowing on a street corner with an appropriate headline. Could always use a scan of the real one. Ask Tom Savini if he has an old extra copy knocking about, he's a friendly guy. Just don't bother asking the fans, having a copy of the dead walk newspaper cover is like gold (I'd love one!) hehe. But they could always scan one if there isn't a decent scan on the net already. Or just do your own, which would be better and more approprite.. have a limited number printed out to look like real newspaper front pages and offer them to the first hundred who email you or something. Never know, the game might take off and they could be worth something.... hehehe ok maybe not worth anything, but could still be cool :)

The trailer wasnt all that great for 5 megs ( I coulda got the song instead :p ) and the words went by to quick, i couldnt read them, and i hate pausing a trailer. Also, it was hard to read the words sometimes. I would also suggest that u put all of your renders on the same color background, or give them some sort of Hell Blaze background, because seeing some of the colors the renders were done on, didnt make them look very good at all.

Other than that. I liked the idea behind the trailer and the way it was made. Definatly looks like a promising mod.

Well done guys.

I recognize the music from the end sequence of 28 days later. That movie had an awesome soundtrack.

There is an error when the video pans across the demon concept art: it says '10 types of enemy' where it should say 'enemies'.

I believe it would have been better to stick to concept art for the 'teasers' since unskinned model renders aren't half as appealing. My other suggestion would be to use a 2nd, more readable font for the bits where you show large amonts of text. Otherwise, the grunge-looking font is more appropriate for short lines, like '10 Weapons at your disposal' (instead of 'Featuring Over 10 weapons').

Also, I laughed at Rachel's expression when in the first shot of her. The drawings are excellent, and again, nice selection of music.

i wrote what i did for a reason. its not at the end of the film its near the begining. its not very readable because compression doesnt like moving text.

It's most definately at the end of the film, that's why its even titled 'in the house', because thats where the last action scene takes place.

As for the text, I still believe a different font would have been more readable. Its fine as is, but it does have alot of compression artifacts like you said.

At least have an open mind if you're going to ask people for their opinions.

"its not very readable because compression doesnt like moving text." i know it has alot of articfacts thats what i said, and ya i feel pretty sure its at the start when hes walking around london when its empty because all the stuff just builds up on him like seeing the buses turned on there side and then it like climaxes when he sees the notes on that giant bill board, kinda like hes gone crazy or just really confused, i think in the house is just the name. i dont mean to be close minded btw. :)
