today i was cleaning some dusty pc hardware boxes (Ati radeon 9800 to be exact) and found some smaller text regarding HL2!
it said "get your free copy of HL2"

WTF!!!

i've looked inside and found a card (ticket) with a cd-key (unscratched, of coure)

is this the ati voucher or am i wrong?
if it is i'm the dummest idiot in the world! :E :E :E
 
lol nice story, i wish that'll happen to me, though i have no boxes to look in :(
 
I wish I had Ati video cards. I always use NVIDIA.

But a smart idiot to have been cleaning out the boxes and not throwing it away.
 
I got my 9800np as OEM. So no vouchure here...

Real PC guys buy OEM. Who needs the crap they almost always put in video cards?

WE can just buy hl2 later.

download steam, goto 'purchase games' and then goto 'register a product i already own'

then enter your key!

But for safety reasons, you'd better PM me your CDkey so I can guide you through the exact steps incase something goes wrong. :angel:

would it not have to be a 9800XT? i got pissed when ATI stopped giving ATI vouchers to 9600XTs, i got one like a week after they stopped. AHHHH!!! i got so damn pissed. But then i remembered that i had a good videocard now and i hugged it and discharged it, then i cried and gave it to a hobo. Actually that last part never happened. It never got discharged. BUT I AM SO ANGRY AT ATI!!!!
 
I bought my 9800 pro before the promotion began :-(

I got mine in September my nice ATIX800pro but no cd voucer when did it end?

I hope im not as stupid as him hehe no offence i would do something like that lol

No no no, all these people are wrong. That paper is worthless. I would be happy to take it off your hands, though. I collect worthless pieces of paper. If you happen to have any green ones with former presidents Franklin, Jackson, or Lincoln on them, I would be happy to take those as well. :)
 
yep, all the bills with portraits of dead guys are worthless, US Presidents or otherwise. i know because i read that on the internet once about 10 seconds ago.
