Everytime I attempt to change any of the setting in the options menu, anything from spraylogo to keyboard settings to video settings and so on, CS:S either hangs itself or i get that dreaded memory fault wich apparentley not even Valve knows how to fix.

So since i can't change anything in game, does anyone know if it's possible to edit the options via either console commands or some form of CFG file?

Any help would be highly appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, here is the problem - Your computer. Before I upgraded, I had a 64 MB Intel Extreme Graphics Controller, and it did the EXACT same thing. Now I have the following:
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
512 MB Crucial RAM
Chaintech GeForce 6600 GT

and it got rid of the problem. ANd no, you cannot simply change it through your cfg file... Not atleast with 1.6. Havent checked the source config yet.

As soon as you goto options and change something, it resets some stuff like your crosshairsize. It's really annoying :-/

Well, I've got the following configuration:
Sapphire ATI 9800 PRO AIW with the Catalyst 5.3 Drivers
Intel P4 C Northwood 3.0Ghz CPU
1024 MB 400Mhz of Twinmos RAM

So basicly unless i change my graphics card, i'm not going anywhere? Hmm...
