Hokaaay.... Herez de deal.

Most noob question you'll ever hear. I've created an entirely indoor map, no skybox... no... nothing. I've relied on lighting it entirely with just plain old light entities. Is there a way just to make the whole map a certain light level instead of having 8 jillion separate lights? It looks neat but i think waiting an entire minute for the thing to compile is annoying when i'm just in the early stages of getting this thing mapped out. Light_environment is a picture of a sun and since i'm indoors will that mean that it won't work in my map?

well, if you don't place any light entities in your map it should compile and be made fullbright. It'll look pretty ugly but hey that's what ya want eh? If it's all dark for some reason I believe you can type mat_fullbright 1 in the console to make it light.
Light environment simply makes light come from skybox textures. If you don't have any in your map it won't do anything.

[Edit]Ah JFry beat me to it

Yeah what he said
