Help! Game Keeps On Freezing! I Want To Play!

I have 2.8Ghz with 512 RAM and an ATI 9600 Mobility Radeon. The game keeps crashing on my system. It freezes and I have to turn my laptop off manually. I can't update my video card drivers because ATI doesn't put out drivers for its mobility cards and HP (my laptop company) doesn't have any new drivers that I can download. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Does it freeze in the first menu screen, just a few seconds after you start the game?

Because if so, I have the same exact problem.

It Happens About 20 Seconds After The Game Loads And I Am Playing.

same shit for me... i can play for 30min or even more then suddenly the game just freezes.

lets prey valve can get a patch up.. too many people have too many problems with this game.

A few sound files are corrupt, so you might wanna try deleting some of them, or just putting them on ur desktop so the game cant use them. Try it...
