Help have lost the hovercraft on 360 version ..Bug?.

Hi i'm new here so be gentle.

I have been playing the xbox360 orangebox version of half life two. And I have come to a part where I left the hovercraft behind and now can't get back to it.

So i'm in an area on foot where that damn helicopter is chasing me I have got to a tunnel which has radioactive waste in it. and manged to get past it by sticking to the edge of the tunnel.

Out of the tunnel I'm chased by the helicopter again and ran past a couple of abandoned boats. Aand eventually mmade it to another radioactive tunnel but I can't proceed past here I'm sure I need the hovercraft but have left it behinnd trouble is there seems to be an invisible barrier blocking me going back down the waterway to the area to which I left it.

Should I have the hovercraft in the area i'm in or am I missing something?

Or is it simply an annoying bug and I will have to start the game over?

You're not supposed to leave the hovercraft. Restart chapter and cry.

Oh man! can I restart just the chapter then I didn't notice that. So I wont have to restart the whole game?

I'm not too familiar with the 360 version of the game but when you click "new game" there should be a list of all chapters. Try Water Hazard.

You'll find a couple of jumps which you can't get across

Hoverboat is necessary. You could load an autosave or click "New Game" and then select "Water Hazard"

Or spawn a boat.

Still, you can't finish the chapter without the buggy because of the script at the light house point.

The rebel skips the whole "Get in the garage" scene, and directly jumps to the "Okay Doc" line IIRC.

You just need to boost yourself with a grenade. I can't see why it wouldnt work on the 360

thanks everyone I just had to start the level again didn't realise you could do that by selecting "new game" good job as i hadn't been saving it and was relying on auto saves which left me stuck

You don't need the buggy at all, and the fastest way through Water Hazard is to keep the airboat up until the point where

Not to say the game isn't hard if you do it that way, but that certainly is the fastest way found so far.

I keep it installed incase a third-party mod requires content mounting from it

I did watch the thing before i replied, you gave him "ways" to beat the level, but ur always talking about different codes that make the gameplay easier in all different threads.
