I'm trying to hook up my 9800 Pro to my TV...the resolution on the TV is not very good. Is there any software or settings I might try to make it look better? Thanks.

It's not going to look as good as your monitor... What are you expecting from it? What connection are you using? S-Video, composite, component?

Get a video projector and a screen and you'll get 720p or even 1080p resolutions :p

S-Video...I guess it won't. But I hope the games look good. I hooked up the sound to my surround sound stereo system and it sounds increadible. Half-life 2 is very loud with that :). Thanks.

Tube TV's are much lower resolution than a PC monitor. Also S-Video doesn't let you get more than about 450x resolution over that wire. Sure you can set your setting at 1024x768 but it won't look better than that cable can deliver. Text will be very hard to read. Though Movies and Games will look much better than text.

Unless there is text IN THE MOVIE!!11

Like Anime Subtitles?! OMG
But really, those are fine to read since they are big. =p

Will going over 640X480 damage the TV's tube? I heard that from some guy on another forum.

No it won't.

Thanks.

I was wondering if the Radeon X850 might look better than my 9800 Pro, on my TV...you seem to know alot about this stuff. Is there any software that can be downloaded or purchased just for TV-Computer use?
