I just got my 3200+ S939 90 nm and godamn is it good :). 100% STABLE at 2.7 ghz! All I did in bios was to set HTT to 4.

The problem is that I know it can go past 2.8 ghz but my memory is stoping me, what can I do to make it past 2.7 ghz? or you can say past 270 fsb?

why even bother to overclock it that much, its one of the fastest cpu's around in stock.

haha I didn't buy it to have it on stock speeds.....

At the end of the day you don't even need the extra power, what will u use it for? I can't see anything. There are no applications that need the extra power. Imo you have already wasted your warenty and wasted the life of your CPU.

dude, pipe it, you dont know what you're talking about. how about CS:S and HL2 for example? these games are going to see huge benefit from the cpu being that high, his minimum framerates are going to be much better for pretty much any game.

and assuming he bought a retail cpu, he hasn't broken any warranty. all he has to do is underclock it and its just as it was before. if he has proper cooling, how would AMD tell if hes overclocked it before anyway? and life of cpu? it depends on the voltage hes running, but seeing as hes an overclocker, hes probably an enthusiast that won't keep the cpu for more than 1.5 years anyway. dont be jealous.

NEX: whats your memory speed at right now?

arghh nvm.....it says it runs at 250 fsb in core center and in CPU-z but 270 fps(2.7 ghz) "in my computer" for some reasons. In core center it says that 250 fsb is the max that I can choose to. My mobo is Neo2 Platinum. Anyone know how I can fix it?

My ram is ADATA VITESTA PC4000 and it can go to 273 fps.....

I am new to A64 mobo ( this is my first A64 mobo)

NICE!!

I bought exactly the same CPU today (along with an Abit AV8 mobo) but i'm not gonna install it until i get my new RAM and the brackets for my watercooling block on Wednesday.

Are you on stock cooling (i.e. the supplied heatsink and fan)?

If your FSB is 250MHz, what multiplier are you using (or what Clock speed is your CPU at)?

What mobo have you got?

Ok, I just got it at 2.7 ghz now(for real), taking prime test to prove it (its on test 42 right now).

My mobo is neo2 Platinum and my cooling is XP-120 with YS-Tech 120 mm fan, multi is at 10. Ok now my memory is stoping me since its over 270 fsb now. What can I do to take it to 280 fsb and up??

Assuming you loosened timings and upped your memory voltage a bit. Nothing. Buy better memory. The motherboard could be limiting your overclock as well.

Its the best mobo right now for S939, right? But what about 5:4 ratio or something? how do you activate it?
