what file type do you save as so you can use a cut out image (so i dont have to fill the entire square with colour) because i tried bmp and jpg and it just filled it out in white for me, which looks really bad :(

targa. which is .tga. You need photoshop or similar to save as that i believe.

You need to use alpha channels in photoshop then save them as .tga, there are tutorials all over just do a forum search.. u will find them.

Creating a spray with Photoshop:
1) Create your image.

2) Starting with a transparent image is always good

4) Select - Load Selection - make sure the Channel entry is "transparency"

5) Select - Save Selection - doesnt matter what yo u call it

6) There's a side panel with the tabs Layer/Channels/Paths. select Channels. there's your alpha layer

7) Save As: whatever.tga

8) Make damn sure you save it as 32bit
