help!!!! no display!!!!

i know this is for the hardware section but i need fast help!!


i saw an update on nvidia that they had a new driver called 91. smth. i started noticing some videos were having some problems so i d/led the driver. i uninstalled the previous driver from device manager under "display". then i rebooted my pc and i started installing the driver. it was wierd cuz it was written in japanese. so i hit next (i noe little jap) and i waited for the driver to be installed. then out of nowhere, my lcd monitor stopped getting thr signal from the pc. so i waited, and waited and waited....still nothing. so i switched it off and on to see if it was receiving signal. it didn. so i pressed my power button to shut it down and i switched it on again. as i saw the windows logo loading, usually it will lead to choose ur user. it didn. my monitor just sat idle not receiving any signal. what should i do?

plz reply quickly cuz my dad gonna get pissed off (im not supposed to be d/ling...)

Have you tried on the booting screen pressing f8 to start in safe mode, then change your drivers back to how they were before, or reinstalling the new ones properly.

I feel sorry for ya, so this can stay in OT till you get some help and someone else can move it a bit later.

phew, problem solved. yes i went into safe mode, installed the driver and now its working very fine. thx!

alot of ppl are having problem with the 91.31 driver....

I got that driver....and HATED it. It makes my display so I cannot have windows open in front of eachother....meaning when I click on the tab on the bottom on the screen for lets say an IM window...it opens behind the page or window that is already open, instead of in front of it. Not sure If im explaining it well, but it was enough to make me roll back my driver........

Yea I was around there too...

I went with 91.29, everything...seems to be in order.

The 91.x drivers are BETA at the moment. I wouldn't use them until they're properly released and the bugs are worked out.
