i need to know a little rundown on what the genova convention was for a little assignment in history, i know it was a thing where they set up some rules of war but not much else, so if anyone could give me a quick summary of it it would be very helpful, thanks.

thanks for the suggestion but i tried reasearching on it on search stations and such but it gave me way to much text, and i just don't have the time to read through it all.
i just want a short little blurb on it so i get the general idea on what it was about

Lol, sounds like you have the same attitude as me when it comes to school.

it outlines rules for the treatment of prisoners of war, and wounded.

now we're gettin' somewhere!

anyone else want to put their input in???

it was signed by all the major powers of the 19th century in 1864. its pretext was regulation regarding the treatment of prisoners of war, and wounded. it also defined the status of the medic, physician, chaplain, etc. all medical buildings and personell are considered neuteral. thats about as much as i can tell you without going into further detail.

geneva is in switzerland by the way :naughty:
