Help Please.

So, I installed HL2 and was excited to play. When the game started up I saw the Valve/Steam Logo, then the loading screen for about 2 seconds, then it gave me this error message.

I've tried reinstalling the game, but to no avail.

Here are my PC specs:

It then says my drivers aren't up to date, so I DLed the new drivers, and nothing.

edit: o and i just remembered dont use the newest drivers from nvidia they crap out on the source engine for some reason on the fx cards so just go to an older driver and that will solve the problem

did you try restarting the program after you clicked ok on the error message?

I found out that reinstalling the drivers fixed that for me. I have a 5900, and it worked.

That's the graphic card, not the computer.
