Help Steam keeps saying i'm in Taiwan

Ok, so i'm using the new Steam Beta as i noticed my downloads speeds from Steam are a lot lower than they used to be, and to my surprise it says my location is "Taiwan" even though i live in the UK. So i deleted the ClientRegistry.blob file and it updated yet still says i'm in Taiwan. How to i get Steam to connect to UK servers?

That is the main method you can use to fix it. Valve are aware of the issue with this beta.

I tried setting it to the United Kingdom and that worked of a while. Then i checked again and i'm in Moscow.

I don't know what else to do, because right now my download speed on Steam are awful. I'm trying to download GTA4 at 30kb/s and even then it keeps stopping and says "download starting" And i believe that's due to Steam getting the content from the wrong servers, and the Beta version is helping my speeds when it does let me use the UK content servers.

If Steam says you are in Taiwan then you are in Taiwan, don't argue.
