Help with AA

I swear, I've tried everything.

I can not get AA to come on. Every time I play the game AA will not come on. In the settings I have it set to 6xaa and 18(16?)x AS, but, it still doesn't do it. I tried forcing it with the forceware driver, that didn't work. I tried every AA level, none of them worked. I updated my drivers to 78.01 and that didn't work either (before I had 77.78). I've tried evrything short of a full re-install. =/

I would really like to take some nice screenshots but it has come to my attention that AA isn't on!

My graphics card is a Nvidia gforce 6800GT.

Would this cause it to revert to no AA?

We'll see, I have my first ATI card in years arriving in the mail Wednesday...

Bullshit. I use 6x and it works like a charm

Check to make sure you don't have anything negating it in the gfx card properties. Like, perhaps "application only" is disabled.

ATI 9600/9800 cards and above can do 2x, 4x, 6x AA.
Nvidia 6 series cards can do 2x, 4x and mixed-FSAA modes (which kill performance for the most part but do give you a better picture quality). No 6x AA.
