Help with IE

It just started happening.


I have google set as my homepage, but when I start IE www.google.com is in the address bar but I get some completely different website that loads up.

I ran ad-aware and cleaned out some junk but it's still there!!

I even used another search engine to find google, and clicked on an outside link still took me to that other website. I am dumbfounded!

Follow the instructions there. The people at TweakXP know their stuff, you ran ad-aware, but it doesn't catch everything

Your problem may have been from some sort of website popup or some other jargon. I personally use Avant Browser. It prevents that crap from ever hitting your screen.

Stops most of the webs annoyances, it's great!

Except that it's advert infested. Unless you buy it, or get a crack or something. Firebird is free, fast, has all the features opera has, is free of the stuff you don't want that IE has and has no adverts plastered across the browser.

Well, I know Shuzer is safe from all kind of malicious ActiveX scripts, all sorts of dialers, spyware, pop-ups and has the comfort of adfree and tabbed browsing. Then there's even more, but I'll leave it for what we have for now
