i need help with my background, i made modified version of the robot of hl2, and i like what i done but it has an empty feel.
anyone got ideas on what to add to make it better?

Try and put some kind of city backdrop thats filtered to have the same look as the bot.

I'd leave it, you don't want to over do it.. Though at most, maybe a faint city skyline. But thats probably as far as I'd take it, sometimes less is more

/me punches iamironsam in his "squashable" marble bag.

whats with iamironsam and his lens flares? It's like that guy who wont shut up about his cheese.. put em together and you'd have cheesy lensflares

iammironsam just said this guy's work and that dock both needed lensflares. Both posts were within the same minute. If you don't have something constructive/funny to say.... save some space and don't say anything ;)

it went right over your head, sorry :)

If you read the rest of the forum you'll know iamironsam and I get on well and he would have noticed the two replies to his lensflare replies and remembered the guy who loves his cheese a little toooo much :)

anyway, don't you have a model gun you should be fixing? :P

Viola! (i had to manually create that lens flare btw, so lens flare guy.....you better appreciate it)

You'd think I'd lose weight thanks to that, but alas I don't :)

I just noticed an intense hatred for lenseflare in this part of the forum. Realizing how simple and overused the lenseflare is, I figured it may be silly to suggest it to people as a way to enchance their pictures. Forgive me for trying to inject a sliver of humor into your uptight artsy world.

Try using somthing like this. I took this from the DX9 video.

Haha, sorry about that iamironsam. It's just been that a lot of people have been acting really stupid on the art forums lately, and I didn't realize you guys had some sort of inside joke going on or whatever. Also kind of uptight because school is a waste of my time too.

And unless you mean my German mp40 I posted a few months ago... I don't know what you are talking about. hehe

I think that background would look good fender, nice job.
