Im wondering how to make the ground have hills in it. I know there was a tut for it but i lost it.... if you still dont understand ... its like the ground have bumps and hills in it.

What you are looking for is called displacement surfaces.

To use them just make a brush like normal textured in grass (or what have you). Then select the face of the brush you want to be the displacement (shift+a, then click on the face). From here click on the tab labeled "Displacement", followed by the button labeled "Create" and hit ok for power of 3 (you can experiment with this number later, but for learning 3 is fine).

You will notice the face you selected will now be broken up into a bunch of white triangles. Click the button labeled "Paint Geometry". Now move your cursor to the 3d view and you will notice it changes. clicking on the points of each triangle you can raise (left click) or lower (right click) them.

There's lots of settings you can play with in the displacements window but most of the defaults should be fine. It's worth noting that displacements don't stop VIS (same as entities) so you will need a world brush underneath it to prevent leaks.
