I'm kinda embaressed to ask such a sily question and if I posted this in the wrong section then I aplogize. I'm new to the game and found myself stuck quite early. I'm stuck in chapter 2 trying to get my hev suit. I can't seem to get into the suit. I pressed the button on the outside door but it just says error and walking up to the suit does nothing. Can someone help me? Thanks.

if you used the impulse 101 cheat code
then you wont be able to get in the suit
because you already have everything

It sounds like a bug. You should be able to walk into the suit. Try selecting New Game and restarting Red Letter Day and see if it works this time.

You have to wait for barney to open its containing glass/the outside door. Then just walk through it.

Hi, Thanks for the replies. I did use the impulse 101 code so did that screw up my game? I can't get anything to happen in that room and no ones doing anything so I'm not sure how to get out now. Barney and the doctor are just standing there.

Then do as doomed - Uk suggest and restart Red Lettle Day without the impulse 101 cheat get the suit then use the cheat again if you really want it.

why would you start using cheats right at the beginning? to each their own i guess, but that seems like it would ruin the game.

Ok, Thanks I'm going to turn impulse 101 off and play without the code to make it more challenging. Is there a way to turn that code off once it's activated?

It's not really an on-off thing... it gives you all of the items you can get (thus you can't wear the HEV cuz u already got it). U have 2 start a new game (or a savegame) wthout that cheat used.

No there isn't, but if you are still in Red Letter Day just start a new game and pick that chapter for the list to start on.

you don't have to restart. Go into console and from there type

"changelevel d1_trainstation_(mapname)" I forget the mapname...i think it's 04 or 05. but type that in without quotes or the ( ) and you should be able to keep playin as a cheater, lol. I only cheat after I beat it w/out cheats.

Just to help you understand why you need to do what you have to, the impulse 101 cheat gives you everything, including the HEV. Now, that part of the game will wait untill you pick up the HEV before it continues. Because you already have it, and therefore cannot pick up another one, the game will not progress. As suggested, just click "New game" from the main menu, select red letter day and start again without using cheats.
