Same as above :P , although Suicide42 and Sulkdodds need to show more of their work. :)

sorry, we're uneducated buggers when it comes to art :D

Note: I can't count to four.

1. My amigo Leaonardo da Vinci (yes I know amigo is spanish, stfu)
2. Van Gogh
3. Raphael
4. Georges Braques (HE started the cubist movement, not Picasso, although Picasso was his close friends and a much more famous artist who made cubism famous. And although cubism seems to be scolded upon, It is a brilliant research of composition and shapes.)
5. Eugenes delacroix for his painting of the French revolution.
6. Salvador Dali: For being, well, Dali. :)
7. Jan Vermeer for "girl with a pearl earring.
8. John Howe :D

Vermeer, damn it I knew I'd missed someone out. We've got a massive print of his, Girl with a pearl earing hanging on our wall in the living room. I'd agree with your choice in Van Gogh 100%

Fine eatbugs, just to make you happy I'll name an artist outside of this forum.
Robert Bateman = Very, very good artist (and he was born near where I live :E )
Are you happy now eatbugs?

What exactly do you do for a living anyway? I know you're obviously freakishly talented in the arts, but what do you actually do?

art, all areas mostly, 2D/3D, concepts, modeling, design, animation, production paintings, texturing, lighting, scene building, modeling (practical) etc. etc. etc.

I'm on an extended vacation at the moment, only work now and again when I feel like it or need a little extra cash or get bored, rather than working on big jobs like before. Right now I'm working on some of my own projects aswell as a short film, two games, some pre-production work on a possible film and a couple of paintings in a few weeks if all goes well. And thats a holiday for me lol.

We are studying this stuff in art class and geography class. But, although the major artists are famous and all, I cant really say that I like their paintings and stuff. Just, not really my style. Im more into modern stuff and realistic picture-like kinda stuff.

So, my favorite artists:
-The Dark Elf
-Shippi
-Anyone that does those optical illusion kinda things :P
-Aaron St.Goddard

Aaron St.Goddard is the maker of the the very well known Bunchie (the green freaky thing that you see in peoples avatars). He is also a very good photoshop artist, and does alot of stuff kinda like TDE. Here is his site - http://www.wildpixels.com/brasshorse/index.html and here is the "official Bunchie site" - http://www.wildpixels.com/bunchies/info.htm (for those of you who dont know what they are).
