Heroes of Newerth (Dota Standalone)

Got two keys to give, first two requests after this post (include email).
 
I totally love it! Not as many heroes as DotA but they'll likely add more over time.
The main thing I hated about DotA was WC3's netcoode. I can hardly notice any delay at all in Heroes of Newerth and that makes me very happy.

Those of you that do have a key, post your name so I can add you, I need some people to play with. :)

This game is tons of fun... except when it's super frustrating like when you get a streak of bad luck and get underleveled and sometimes useless and you have to sit there for the remainder of the game (which can take ages) just trying to stay alive :(.

My invite key from Gunner doesn't appear to be working, cold I get one another one o' them from ya Hazar? This time send the invite to [email protected]

Seriously... when I register with the key from Gunner's invite it says "BETA key appears invalid blah blah" Anyone else having this problem?

Anyone still got any invites? I had the same issue from the invite Gunner sent me, gave me an invalid key error.
 
Something else than invites for a change. What do you guys think about the price on the pre-order? I'm finding the 30$ expensive as hell. 10$, maybe 15$ i'd be willing to spend on this. But 30$, no way.

I'm quite sure myself and a dozen friends are going to, it's complete and utter cloning of DotA but with better graphics suits us all just fine.

Game is meh. Its fun for a few rounds, but then it becomes seriously frustrating. All the friends of mine that have tried it became enraged and cursed it.


The game mechanic is pretty much repetitive throughout:
Attack, fall back, attack, fall back, attack, fall back, attack fallback.
Do this about 99999999 times, and there's your Newerth.

I pre-purchased. I'm a big dota fan and this is a solid product. They are adding more and more content too which is nice.

This is a much better value than Demigod seemed... that game had like 6 heroes total... boo to that.
 
Someone tell me what the **** Dota is.

I have seen it in lots of places, and I DEMAND an explenation RIGHT GOD DAMN NOW! ****!

That's simplifying it an awful lot. That's like boiling Starcraft down to: Build, build, build - attack. Build, build, build - attack.
 
I can't believe they're going to be charging $30 for this.

Knowing S2Games, it's going to be free within a year anyways.

Dota community is absolutely terrible. I wish S2 could have done something to help new players get into the game without getting a whole bunch of "OMFG NOOB! KICK HIM!"

Maybe matchmaking will fix that, but I still think some sort of Reputation system would have been a great addition.
 
League of Legends is waaaay better...

The scene in HoN is pretty shitty. The most amazing part is it that the people that usually call other people noobs are just as stupid. They just know a few heros and think they're pros. Most people in this game are so friggin retarded that they can't do simple calculations in their head. Best example being players playing swift against scout. But then again I've only played games in the range of 1600-1700. I'm guessing good games are at 1900-2000.
