HEV suit

Anyone ever notice the bloody thing doesnt have a helmet or is it just me ?

How safe is that ?

In HL1 they didn't offer a helmet since they assumed the experiment would not go wrong. But in other cases, the HEV truely wouldn't serve to any extent in the real world since whats good protecting your body when your head gets burned by acid or melted off by radiation. But the gamer community already grew up with Gordon's face being uncovered as opposed to Shephard's which is permanently covered by a gas mask, and plus Gordon is a chick magnet with that sexy HEV and glasses.

It can have a helmet if you want. But I don't think it does because the player model and artwork all says so.

I like to roleplay with my characters so for me Gordon has it on when fighting and off when he's taking a rest ^_^

And there is no reason to assume the HEV suit doesn't come with a helmet
1: We don't see the back
2: In HL1 there are no gloves on the HEV suit before you put it on. Where did they come from? They where in the suit obviously so maybe the helmet folds out in a similar manner.

There was no helmet because dr Kleiner just forgot to develop one for the HEV. So i case of trouble, Gordon was asked to quickly put a dustbin or a bucket on his head. That's why Gordon can't speak, his mouth is full of rubbish and dust, and his breath smell so bad that no one would ever survive if he opened it.

Nah, Gordon is jsut so awesome that he can like survive anything, even jumping into a pile of ooze without getting freaked out. As well as the fact that he can survive a place teeming with zombies, and come out fine. lawl.

I think when they release EP3 for PC and Xbox 360 (if they do) they should make Dr.Kleiner tell you he forgot to tell you that there is an MP3 player installed into the HEV suit and you should be allowed custom tracks during gameplay, that'd kick ass
