Hey Guinnyy: how do you like your case?

I ordered the TT xaser III 7-fan mobo too, should be here within a week. How do you you like it? experience any problems? did you replace any of the fans or anything for anything but cosmetic reasons? also, did yours come with a 420W psu and if it did was it having probs or did you just upgrade to the 560W or bought it for the case coming seperately?

Did you wire it neatly? if so, what tricks and tactics did you use to make it neat in there with all the fan wires, Hardcano connections?

Rocketman: That's a nice case, as for the psu a 420w Thermaltake is good, you shouldn't have any problems at all, you don't need to upgrade it.

Barnacle: You don't need 7 fans, a 500w Aspire case is good. I think my Dell case has only 1 case fan if it has any, and it runs pretty cool.

TT Xaser III cases are great. 420Watts is more than enough.
It has 7 fans to make sure there is a lot of airflow and everything is completely cool. They are set to be very quite, as far as I know.

Ya im pumping six 80 mm fans and one 120 mm case fans. Seven case fans, cant wait. Not including CPU fan, vid card fan, 2 PSU fans. Its gonna be a wind tunnel in there.

Rocketmann, I've owned 2 of these, I used it for my intel, and now for my current rig. It may not be necessary, but that extra cooling makes me feel safer. And the case itself is gorgeous to look at. I 100% heartily recommend it.

edit - to keep things neat, i bought the case without the psu, and bought as u can see in my sig thermaltakes 560watt psu. It comes with wrapped cables, so theres is absolutely no mess in my case. It looks nice and tidy. Id recommend getting a separate psu with wrapped cables, ive never been happier. Also, if you dont know how to install a psu, its so easy, just slide it into the back and screw it in.

well, with all the cash I'm spending on all the hardware for this comp I think I'll stick with the PSU it comes with. I've looked online and there are these cord things you can put over the wire bundles. I don't know If I'd bother with them though.

Did yours come with that Hardcano unit? if so how difficult is it to set it up to control all the fans?

i dont use the hard cano unit which is probably why my comp is so neat (took the wires out.) without it, the fans run at their max speed, and thats great for cooling, and believe me, it doesnt get loud at all. so i cant really help u with the hardcano setup.

Also, if you dont know how to install a psu, its so easy, just slide it into the back and screw it in.

LOL yeah thats what I'd be like. I've got a 3500 sitting here on my desk waiting for my other components to arrive. this will be my first build because either my dad has done it or we ordered it from online. I know its not brain surgery but I don't want to end up screwing something over either. are those static killing braclets worth it? cuz it'll prolly be assembled in my room that is carpeted.

Just set it on a counter and ground yourself to the case by resting your arm on metal. And don't shuffle your feet. lol

Static braclets are terrible! If you want, go get a anti-static braclet.

anti-static braclets are only a couple of bucks. They will provide guaranteed protection. If you feel safer with that, go ahead and use them. I have a couple. I use them on occasion (usually when I am installing very expensive components). I don't like to be the victim of freak accidents. Otherwise, anti-static braclets are not a necessity.

If possible, assemble your computer on a hardwood table, and preferably have that table on a hard floor (no carpet). This is to minimum static electricity when building your computer.

I've got a nice big table on lanolium(sp?) floor downstairs I could build it on. but the trick then would be keeping all my damn curious cats off of it.

awesome case.Spend a lil extra money on a your case,your going to look at it for years.That's my justification for a $300 case anyway.Plus you want all your spendy hardware nice and cool :cheers:
