Hello, my first post here :x
I would like to ask a little question about the graphic card that Iv'e bought...Sry if I posted in the wrong forum :/.
Ok, the card is "Sapphire radeon 9600 pro 128MB", second hand, the one Iv'e bought it from had it for about 8 monthes- is it pays to buy this card at about 75$ ? [ altought I already did :e I can get the money back ] I know in some countrys aboard this card doesn't cost much but where I live in it's cost about 160$ +/-...
I got the card from him without any box or warranty btw.
Tnx guys! sry for my english and move this thread if it's not the right forum.

You can get the ATI 9600XT 128MB new for $145 it's faster than the Pro version.

Yes that's a good buy. It still is a mid-range card. But you'll play hl2 just fine.

Okay
Will it run new games in near future? [ something like a year from today ] tnx.
And I'll may add few more questions later :)

I dont think I can get new XT card that price, where do you live?
And as I know I can o.c the pro to get XT performance no?

You can get an XT for that price, make sure its not the "All-In-Wonder" Version.

I got it two months ago for $110 on NewEgg.

Still using it now.

I live in Los Angeles.

I don't think that Video Card will be of much use in a year.

P.S. That's the Video Card I have 9600 Pro 128Mb.

XT is a great card. It is does one thing well. The other cards spread performance across multiple potential uses but the XT is for gaming. I have not had trouble with it so far and the Overdrive feature basically overclocks the card without the normal risks inolved with overclocking.

Well tnx!
I'm not live in L.A :bounce: so I cant get the xt card that price (just to compare , x800 pro costs here about 720$] :/ I have no extra money right now to spent for gfx so ill keep mine..i just wanna know if the price i bought the radeon 9600pro isn't 2 hige for second hand card without warranty or bandels ( i know i spelled it wrong :/)

Is that price $720 U. S. Dollars, or a local, un-converted currency? I keep hearing these kinds of stories, and I wonder why the WTO allows import duties like that.

I am running a GeForce FX 5200 with dual monitors, I love it and it runs HL*2 like it's butter.

for 75 bucks, a 9600 Pro is a good buy. Pick it up. Regarding games withi one year, it will probably play them at lower settings. the XT is a great card too, but the price difference doesn't seem worth it for you, since you have such a good opportunity on the 9600P. Even the XT may be somewhat obsolete within a year, tough to say, so consider a 9800Pro if you are in it for the long haul.

A new 9600 Pro would be a good buy not a used one IMO. In a few months you won't be able to give them away. Look at how much the 9800's have come down it should have been even more if you look at how much more powerful some of the latest cards are over the 9800.
