Hiccups on doom 3 and farcry

Hello,

First of all my specs

athlon 2800
9800 pro 128mb
512 pc2700 ram
WD 40gb 7200 rpm HD
win xp pro

now my problem is that in doom 3 or farcry, when i enter a new area it slow downs for a little bit, it gets annoying, i run on HIGH settings, not on very high...

what can i upgrade to avoid this?

Or you might try to putin a stick of 128 DDR 400 PC 32oo memory if your mobo will support non-dual channel memory moduels if not, then try going up to a Gig. :thumbs:

yup its ram. Your HD is thrashing becuase of lack of ram.
