It's been a long time in coming, but Microsoft's patch to enable hardware acceleration of High Definition Windows Media content (WMV-HD) has finally been made available for download. This is particularly good news for GeForce 6x00 and Radeon Xx00 owners, who have boards that support hardware acceleration of this feature.
